Determining whether your computer has a wireless adapter installed

You can use Windows Device Manager to determine whether you have a wireless network adapter installed.

  1. Click the Start button in the left Taskbar
  2. Click Control Panel. [Show Me]
  3. Select System and Security in Control Panel. [Show Me]
  4. Click Device Manager in Control Panel Hardware and Sound. [Show Me]
  5. Click the ">" before Network adapters. If your computer has a Network Interface Card, the adapter name is displayed.


  6. Wireless Adapter


  • Click Device Manager in Control Panel Hardware and Sound. [Show Me]
  • Click the ">" before Network adapters. If your computer has a Network Interface Card, the adapter name is displayed.


  • Wireless Adapter


      1. If you have a wireless network adapter installed, you are ready to connect to your wireless network.

        Or

        If no adapter was found, continue by installing the ZyXEL adapter.
