Testing your new network connection The final step is to confirm that all your network computers and devices are connected and working properly.

  1. Click Start in the left Taskbar.


  2. Click Computer. [Show Me]


  3. Click Network in the left navigation panel. [Show Me]


  4. Each computer connected to your wireless network should be displayed.

    Network Devices


    • If an icon for your current computer isn't displayed
      • Click Network and Sharing Center in the toolbar. [Show Me]
      • Click Troubleshoot problems. [Show Me]
      • Select Internet Connections, click Next and follow the prompts. [Show Me]
      • If the Internet Connections troubleshooting process doesn't solve the issue, click Close the troubleshooter to return to the Troubleshooting - Network and Internet window.
      • Select Network Adapter, click Next, and follow the prompts to check your wireless adapters and settings. [Show Me]

    • If an icon for another computer on your network isn't displayed
      • Go to the computer that isn't displayed and click Start in the left Taskbar.
      • Click Computer. [Show Me]
      • Click Network in the left navigation panel. [Show Me]
      • Click Network and Sharing Center in the toolbar. [Show Me]
      • Click Troubleshoot problems. [Show Me]
      • Click Internet Connections, click Next and follow the prompts. [Show Me]
      • If the Internet Connections troubleshooting process doesn't solve the issue, click Close the troubleshooter to return to the Troubleshooting - Network and Internet window.
      • Select Network Adapter, click Next, and follow the prompts to check your wireless adapters and settings. [Show Me]
