 Re-entering your network security settings If you've changed your SSID and/or WEP encryption key from the default values, you must re-enter them to match the settings when you reset your router.

To reset your router security settings:

  1. Open a Web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox.
  1. Enter http://192.168.1.1 in the Address field of the browser.

  3. Enter admin in the User Name field.


  4. Enter password in the Password field and click OK.


  5. Click the Wireless settings icon in the top toolbar. [Show Me]


  6. Click Basic Security Settings in the left navigation panel.


  7. Enter your SSID in the SSID field. You must enter the same SSID assigned to the other computers and network adapters on your network. [Show Me]
