Return unneeded FiOS TV equipment
Returning FiOS TV Equipment
Need to return Verizon equipment? It’s easy – you can drop it off at a Verizon store near you or mail it back to Verizon via UPS.

Returning or Exchanging Equipment Due to an Account Change
If you’ve made a change to your account that requires the exchange or return of any FIOS equipment (ex. Returning a Set Top Box), it must be returned within 30 days of the order request date. If the equipment is not returned within 30 days, you will be billed the monthly recurring rate for that piece of equipment, until it is returned.

Returning Equipment Because You’re Disconnecting Service
If you are disconnecting your FiOS TV service, you must return all of your FiOS equipment within 30 days of the disconnect order date to avoid being billed an Unreturned Equipment Fee.* If the equipment is not returned or if the equipment is damaged outside of normal wear and tear, an unreturned equipment charge of up to $650 will be applied to your account for each piece of equipment that is damaged or not returned. If you are enrolled in automatic bill payment at the time of disconnection, the Unreturned Equipment Fee will be billed to you and will be charged or debited to your payment card or bank account on file. If you are not enrolled in automatic bill payment at the time of disconnection, you will be billed for the Unreturned Equipment Fee and will be responsible for paying the bill sent to you.

EQUIPMENT RETURN OPTIONS

Bring your equipment to a FiOS TV store
Bring your equipment unboxed to one of our designated Verizon FiOS TV stores.

In certain circumstances there may be a return fee of $9.99 when returning FiOS equipment to a FiOS TV Store.
  • You are upgrading your Set Top Box(es) – there will be a charge to return your old box(es)
  • You are downgrading your Set Top Box(es) – there will be a charge to return your old box(es)
  • You are returning box(es) you are no longer using – there will be a charge to return your old box(es)
If you are unsure which equipment needs to be returned, you can verify by calling 1.800.VERIZON (1.800.837.4966).

Let us send you a postage-paid return box
The return box has everything you need to return your equipment at no charge to you.
  1. Request a return box and prepaid shipping label by signing in to My Verizon and clicking on Account.
  2. Scroll down the right column to the Account Actions section and select the TV tab.
  3. Select Add/Return Equipment and follow the onscreen steps to request a return box.
You will receive a postage paid label that you should affix to the box that contains all the equipment you are returning. You can then drop the box off at your nearest UPS location.

You can also request a return box by calling 1.800.VERIZON (1.800.837.4966).

Let Mail Boxes Etc. or UPS pack and ship it
First, verify the equipment to be returned by calling 1.800.VERIZON (1.800.837.4966). Then bring your equipment unboxed to the nearest Mail Boxes Etc. or UPS store. They will pack and ship the equipment back to Verizon at no charge to you.

*If the Equipment has a label which includes the following (or similar) message, "PROPERTY OF VERIZON. DO NOT REMOVE FROM PREMISES," then you must not return the Equipment and you will not be charged an Unreturned Equipment fee.
