Recapping the First-Ever VPS Virtual Partner Summit

We host the Verizon Partner Solutions (VPS) Partner Summit annually as a way to connect with our customers, discuss the latest telecom industry trends and present our newest marketplace offerings and innovations. While the team typically holds these summits in desirable locations that facilitate close connection with partners, the COVID-19 pandemic prompted a pivot to our first-ever VPS Virtual Partner Summit, aptly themed ‘Partnering for Success – Enabling the Digital Future’. 

In making the successful-yet-gargantuan effort to shift to an entirely remote conference, our team developed a robust infrastructure—using Verizon’s own web conferencing service—to present a variety of live presentations and pre-recorded workshops for more than 300 partners.  

After an insightful kickoff by VPS President Eric Cevis and other company leaders, we launched our workshop series for attendees to get more information on Verizon products, programs, processes, portals and more. Here is a quick recap of each:

Global Networks – Solutions for the Digital Age

This workshop allowed attendees to learn more about Verizon’s advanced network services, with a focus on our growing Ethernet, Public IP and Private IP networks. It also discussed how Wavelength, SDN and NFV-enabled solutions are designed to empower partners’ digital transformation journeys. 

The Connected Future

With Verizon’s 4G LTE network covering over 98% of Americans, and innovative technologies such as LTE-M and NB-IoT expanding connectivity even further to underground and rural environments, this workshop detailed how wireless infrastructure is giving partners the flexibility to create mobile solutions without fear of losing connection. 

Enabling the Future of Digital Operations Excellence

As part of this workshop, attendees learned how teams within Verizon Partner Solutions and Verizon are working together to develop a framework of advanced data technology solutions that help optimize network operations and service management. This includes providing descriptive insights, network behavior modeling, service degradation predictions, cognitive suggestions and more. 

VPS Ordering and Service Delivery 

This workshop showed how Verizon Partner Solutions continues to evolve our Service Delivery to meet just-in-time network needs, allowing our partners to deliver the promise of a digital future to their customers. 

Positioning Our Voice Partners for Success

In this workshop, customers learned how Verizon is enhancing its voice products and services to meet the needs of our partners in an ever-changing environment. 

Network Security – Prioritizing Visibility, Detection and Response

Network Detection and Response (NDR) is a new addition to Verizon’s cybersecurity portfolio. This workshop discussed how the service’s network visibility, threat detection and forensic analysis capabilities dramatically accelerate the ability for organizations to respond to threats and identify future attacks before they become serious events.

Enabling Our Partners Who Leverage the In-Direct Sales Model

This workshop showed how Verizon Partner Solutions can partner together with our customers and their agent community to drive additional sales and achieve maximum success

Customer Experience Journey

Our final workshop described how Verizon Partner Solutions continues to transform the end-to-end customer experience in the areas of quoting, ordering, repair and status updating. It also provided insight about new products introduced on the portal.
