I’m a member of the military or a veteran. Do I qualify for a discount?

Yes, as part of our commitment to support the men and women who serve our country, we offer 15 percent off monthly Verizon Wireless service and 25 percent off select accessories.  Also, veterans and active service members get $120 a year off triple-play bundles and $60 a year off double-play bundles with our Verizon Fios military discount.

To start saving or to learn more, visit www.verizon.com/militarydiscounts. You'll be directed to a page where you can enter the Verizon Wireless phone number associated with your personal wireless account and follow the step-by-step instructions provided. If asked for your company name and address, enter your branch of service and your last known military address (including APO/FPO, AP/AE etc.)

Does Verizon have a military recruitment team?

Yes. Verizon has a dedicated recruitment team for each major branch of service: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard. Our teams consist of veterans and military spouses, who represent all regions of the U.S. They are dedicated to assisting veterans and transitioning service members and military spouses with job opportunities at Verizon.

How can I contact the military recruitment team?

Our regional military recruitment teams are on standby to help you discover career opportunities. Email the appropriate team based on the location you or your spouse wish to seek employment in.

Does Verizon attend career fairs and events for service members?

Yes. Verizon attends many career fairs and recruiting events that are geared toward hiring service members. Check our calendar to register for upcoming events. (Choose “Military Events” under the “Event Types” menu and click “Apply.”).

I want to work for Verizon once I leave the military in 12 to 18 months. When should I contact you?

It’s ideal to contact us 90 days before the date you are eligible for employment.

How do I begin the application process? Before applying, do I need paperwork from the military?

No special paperwork is required; simply search for a job and apply for any positions that you are interested in. Note that you are a veteran when asked on the application.

My resume reflects my military experience. Does Verizon offer assistance with writing a military-to-civilian resume?

Yes, we have created a resume guide to help you translate your military skills and experience into a resume that resonates with civilian employers.

Due to my service in the military, I don’t have a college degree. Will Verizon still consider me?

Verizon will consider your time in the military, experience and military spouse status as we review your application

What job areas are most applicable to my military experience?

Verizon hires service members across all functions and departments. We’ve found service members to be especially successful in engineering, sales, customer service and operations roles.

If I work at Verizon and my spouse gets orders to move, can I keep my job in our new duty station?

Verizon understands the challenges you face as you support your spouse’s career as a service member, and we will do our best to be flexible and work with you during that transition. If an opening equal to or similar to what you’re doing is available at your new location, we will assist in placing you in that position. If the position is different from your current one, we’ll work with our military spouse employment team to assist you in the process.

I have gaps in my employment history because I have moved around to support my spouse’s military career. Are there job opportunities for me at Verizon?
