What you’ll be doing...

Designs, develops, and tests wholesale systems used by Verizon's internal & external customers. The individual will be part of a team of architects & developers who will use the latest development and security standards to provide robust and scalable solutions to business requirements. They will develop microservices within TM Forum & MEF standards which are delivered in an Agile and test-driven environment.

• Drive end-to-end process and solution leadership to complete large programs on time with well-managed scopes and costs.
• Provide technical solutions (hands-on coding) and team leadership to drive, and develop solutions to solve business challenges and increase efficiency through automation.
• Leverage and guide vendors who are under contract to provide new development and maintenance support.

This opportunity is for Military personnel who are current participants of the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program or are participants of the Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 1-2023

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager

What we’re looking for...

You can establish relationships and work with peers at all levels independently. You can articulate the problem statement, and openly bring up challenges, negotiate, influence, and drive solutions. You’ll leverage industry trends to drive innovation and solution excellence across various functional domains within the Verizon Business Group.

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to use technical knowledge to guide people to a solution
• Java experience

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience leading a team.
• Experience with TMForum and MEF industry standards.
• Experience with Enterprise architecture tools in the following: Microservices/Apigee and cloud solutions: AWS (Amazon Web Services).
• Experience with cloud migrations to AWS (Amazon Web Services).
• Experience with Wildfly application server, Springboot, RabbitMQ
• Experience with OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)
• Experience with SAFe agile framework.
• Six or more years of experience in Relational Database (Oracle).
• Experience with OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)
