You will be troubleshooting issues at an in-depth level; supporting our customer-facing teams and our development teams and supporting our GeoBase SDK customers. Also working on the resolution of issues raised by our systems monitoring, and incident management and resolution for critical issues.

  • Coordinating resolution of support issues.
  • Monitoring and responding to production issues.
  • Identifying defects and providing workaround solutions to customers.
  • Working with development teams to prioritise reported bugs and requested features.
  • Debugging support issues raised to applications affecting customers in production.
  • Working with our support teams in Christchurch; United States and Europe.
  • Assisting internal Professional Services team with the development and scripting of custom solutions for customers.
  • Enable replication and debugging of issues to verify product related bugs.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Customer support experience.
  • Knowledge of web platform development software.
  • Knowledge of SQL, databases and basic network configuration.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Ability to debug software issues in production.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to learn new programming languages and toolkits quickly.
  • Ability to diagnose and address application issues.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in application support or testing.
  • Experience with one or more Application Servers (e.g: IIS, Tomcat, Apache, WebSphere, etc).
  • Linux Operating Systems knowledge.
