What you’ll be doing...

You’ll proactively scan, gather, analyze, andcommunicate wireless competitive events through web scraping for both wireless and wireline competitors, including plan price and strategychanges and program launches to help our leadership teams make the best data-driven decisions. Gather, analyze, and communicate devicepromotions and provide comparisons to Verizon offerings as well asinsights into competitor strategy changes. Partner with team members and vendors to attribute market events to changes in performance trends. Work closely with product marketing and thecommunications team to get timely competitive information to the field sothey know how to respond to customer inquiries. Through collaborating with partners, you will identify what research is needed to support the business and deliver quantitative and qualitative analyses. The intelligence you gather will be turned into strategic and tactical recommendations that will drive business decisions and actions.

  • Understanding business challenges and identifying what questions need to be answered.
  • Designing research to answer the business questions.
  • Analyzing information, uncovering insights, and making recommendations.
  • Providing market and industry perspectives to complement the research, insights, and inform recommendations.
  • Managing research projects to be timely, on budget, and provide the needed learning.

What we’re looking for...

You enjoy digging into details to make observations and recommendations. You’re able to translate information into narratives-—and tailor your presentation and recommendations to the audience function and level. You understand the bigger picture and set the research in that context to provide comprehensive business-savvy recommendations. And when something needs to be said, you aren’t shy—because you know that it is meaningful for the business to know. You are a trusted business partner and enjoy working with cross functional teams to deliver the best outcomes.
You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Market research and competitive insights experience.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree.
  • Experience managing complex marketing research/competitive insights projects with internal and external partners.
  • Experience delivering custom presentations, making recommendations, and advising senior leaders on critical business decisions.
  • Experience creating and delivering compelling tailored presentations.
  • Experience with using PowerPoint and Google Slides.
