What you’ll be doing...

As a member of the platform team, the Senior Platform Engineer will design and implement mission critical systems that enable our groundbreaking Verizon Network Detection and Response (NDR) Product. You are passionate about solving massively large data processing challenges.

  • Develop and design software automation to drive efficiencies and help us scale our infrastructure.
  • Develop and design process and documentation.
  • Develop and design services and systems that ingest and process multigigabit network streams through the Verizon NDR.
  • Develop and design automated unit and functional testing around features.
  • Collaborate with Product Management on understanding and refinement of core features of the Verizon NDR.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Five or more years of production experience in JVM languages.
  • Willingness to travel (Occasional) post COVID.

Even better if you have:

  • Six or more years in large scale concurrent software and systems development.
  • Scala experience.
  • Two or more years of experience working with large scale data ingest, processing and storage systems.
  • Strong experience with software design patterns and testing methodologies.
  • Experience with open source projects and frameworks.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Experience or interest in functional programming methodologies.
  • Experience with distributed systems and/or large scale data processing, such as Kafka, Spark, Cassandra, Redis, and ElasticSearch.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.

If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the compensation range for this position is between $117,300 and $217,900 based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience.  This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
