What you’ll be doing...

As Associate Director this position will be responsible for overseeing and managing a technical team covering SRE - CICD area supporting Digital, Assisted and MarTech systems. In this role you will provide technical expertise, vision and leadership to enable the execution of best in class operation practices that could improve reliability and availability of applications across public and private clouds as well as engineering experience.

The person needs to be ultra-focused and a strong leader to help execute on the vision. Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) holds the responsibility for the big picture: determining how our systems relate to each other and using a wide array of tools and building auto healing solutions to improve Reliability for customers. Practices, such as limiting time spent on operations, and proactive identification of potential outages, factor into the iterative improvement key to both product quality and dynamic day-to-day work. SRE’s culture of diversity, intellectual curiosity, problem solving, and openness unlocks its success.

The Associate Director will be responsible for the SRE CICD area that includes CICD Middleware, CICD Database as well as non-production environment and release management.

  • Drive engineering best practices and technology standards to solve operation problems
  • Drive IT systems reliability for customer experience, and discuss utilizing emerging technologies like AIOPS, SRE, Automation, etc., to improve systems availability.
  • Streamline and manage deployment processes within CI/CD pipeline enforcing standards across all environments.
  • Practice all tenets of SRE, vision and technical leadership to enable the execution of best in class deployment practices that would improve reliability of applications, stability of the non-production environment and increase speed to market.
  • Develop Source Code Management, centralizing and automating the configuration management process. Should have thorough knowledge of version control systems (GIT).
  • Develop and maintain pipeline configurations. Should have familiarity with packaging solutions(Docker, rpm) and implement build solutions encompassing those technologies.
  • Provide CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) environment build automation in a containerized environment that uses technologies such as EKS, Docker, Artifactory, Python, Shell, Ansible and Gitlab
  • Drive efforts for monitoring, alerting and self-healing based on real-time data from various sources including APM, logs, servers, network, storage, etc.
  • Provide support for Non-production environments including Staging and Training environment
  • Partner with business owners to create best in class experience in Non-prod
  • Showcase strong leadership skills to ensure quality and on time delivery, manage resources and their capacity to support day to day operations for various non-production and PLE environments.
  • Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems.
  • Analyze and pinpoints the problems in various layers and rectify automatically
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate, Security and IT policies
  • Lead a global team of diverse talent and successfully partner with other Directors, ADs and managers within and across the organization to deliver business / GTS programs

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with software development, software delivery lifecycle, application modernization, DevOps, Service/Infrastructure as Service and Operations.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Experience leading information technology in a global, consumer-based or retail environment
  • Technology leadership, including solid understanding of full stack implementation with focus on infrastructure, database architecture, network solutions.
  • Experience in supporting mission critical 24X7 production systems, lead real-time high stake risk mitigation plan and drive timely decisions
  • Direct people management experience, including leadership of diverse global teams.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines in a distributed environment,
  • Experience in IT Security and compliance, operations and network services, and application development
  • Experience Cloud & Container platform Strategies, Design, Architecture and Migration
  • Strong knowledge or experience with Agile.
  • Ability to quickly understand various technology platforms and internal systems.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and project management, interpersonal, communications, and leadership skills.
  • Leading complex projects by bringing together the right perspectives, identifying roadblocks, and integrating feedback from clients and team members
  • Perform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actions
  • Build and drive adoption for greater self-healing and resiliency patterns
  • Strong and proven experience designing, delivering and managing service level agreements and performance metrics
  • Strong presentation skills to communicate complex concepts effectively.
