What you’ll be doing...

In this new and critical leadership role within the Corporate Information Security team, the Head of Verizon India Cyber Services will be responsible for providing common program, governance, engineering, and provisioning services across a wide range of cybersecurity domains and organizations.

This global leader will be responsible for enabling the business and protecting Verizon and its customers by continuing to build, expand, and improve the portfolio of cybersecurity services enabled by the Verizon India team, including Identity & Access Management Services; Secure Software Development Services; Application Security Services; Cloud Security Services; Governance, Risk, and Compliance Services; Data Protection Services; and Cyber Defense Services.

The Head of Verizon India Cyber Services will be both a transformational team leader and thought leader with an external presence to drive eminence and growth within Verizon and India overall.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of key cybersecurity transformation programs and service offerings across the organization.
  • Oversee multiple, complex cybersecurity workstreams, liaising with respective functional leaders for planning, knowledge management, engineering, and standards development to drive results and support scalability and efficiency.
  • Build a culture of high ownership and risk-informed decision making; define and monitor KPIs to measure outcomes and ensure accountability for success across all supported cybersecurity functions.
  • Foster a culture of engagement and build a high performing team through ongoing employee development, education, team building, and other engagement activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other Cyber, Technology, and Business Leaders to develop a clear understanding of business needs; ensure cost effective delivery of cybersecurity services to meet those needs.
  • Provide thought leadership and communicate to technical and non-technical audiences about program status and challenges along with ability to define paths to resolution.

The Leader is also responsible for :

  • Define resource capacity plans.Management, staffing, and operations; make decisions regarding hiring, promotion, and disciplinary actions. Coach, train and motivate the team to achieve subject matter expertise.
  • Review critical programs, projects, budget, and plans on a frequent basis with the executive leadership team.
  • Develop leadership skills and capabilities in the organization to achieve high performance results; drive employee satisfaction and engagement for the organization, with a focus on building a strong performance management culture.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have :

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Fifteen plus years of cybersecurity and/or technology leadership, including solid understanding of various technology solutions and risk management practices
  • Eight plusyears of people leadership experience, including leadership and growth of diverse, global teams.
  • Leadership and technical versatility gained through leadership of a wide range of cybersecurity programs and services such as Identity & Access Management; Secure Software Development; Application Security; Cloud Security; Governance, Risk, and Compliance; Data Protection; and Cyber Defense.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in partnering with business and technology teams at multiple levels to drive the adoption and implementation of cybersecurity programs.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and coaching senior talent.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to meet timelines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, customer and team-oriented work environment.
  • Firmly believes in developing a diverse team and bringing out the best in team members, staying curious, and driving the right culture and behaviors within the organization.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM would be a plus
