What you’ll be doing...

Verizon is seeking a Senior Identity & Access Management (IAM) Data Analyst for the Global Network and Technology Network Security team focused on data analysis, machine learning, and behavioral insights related to access activities to network assets. The person hired for this position will play a key role in defining, implementing, and supporting data analysis across all access management platform solutions.

  • Take a look at the existing IAM data sets and help query Splunk to answer key business questions that we have or our network customers come up with
  • Derive both security and operational business value insights based on IAM data sets
  • Design, develop and automate dashboards and analytics for Leaders at scale
  • Orchestrate expert-level data visualizations and internal presentations that translate analytic insights into tangible, measurable solutions for network partners to implement
  • Derive and implement Machine Learning techniques and methods to understand user and systems behavior related to accessing network elements
  • Interact and partner with network subject matter experts to better understand log events and business processes related to access use cases
  • Manipulate and analyze large and complex data sets to distill insights from data; connect disparate ideas into cohesive, well-grounded recommendations using creative, effective, structured and analytical thinking
  • Coordinate with the Network Security Cyber Center on turning data derived analysis insights into actionable incidents
  • Make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve security posture and operational performance

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in data analytics, data management, and machine learning.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Data Science / Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related areas
  • Knowledge and experience in any of the disciplines of statistics, data visualization, anomaly detection, machine learning.
  • Advanced experience using Splunk and Elastic Search.
  • Creation of Splunk and Elastic Search dashboards
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of communicating complex information in an easy to understand format.
  • Ability to interact comfortably with the cross functional leadership
  • Ability to think creatively.
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision
  • Are highly organized
  • Has passion for innovation and collaboration
