  • Unlimited Ultimate, Unlimited Plus, Unlimited Welcome & Welcome Unlimited customers are eligible to purchase the Second Number perk.

  • Second Number perk requires an eligible active Verizon line and a compatible phone with:
    • At least one available SIM, and:
    • Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS) capability.

  • All lines on the account are eligible to purchase the Second Number perk.
  • Billing begins from time of purchase. You must activate the Second Number line in order to use Second Number.

  • Includes Unlimited Talk and Text in the U.S., Mexico and Canada. Data supplied by primary line only.

  • Second Number is subject to the Verizon Mobile Customer Agreement and Second Number Terms & Conditions.

  • Termination of the Second Number line will cause the Second Number perk to be canceled.

What is the Second Number plan?

The Second Number perk is a monthly perk that lets you add a second Verizon mobile number to your compatible smartphone:*

Second Number perk will give you access to a second number line including Unlimited Talk and Text in the US, Mexico and Canada.
Data (for apps and internet) is provided by your primary Verizon plan/number.

*Requires a Dual SIM capable device, compatible with the Verizon network, where 1 electronic SIM (eSIM) is not in use. Some devices may not be compatible with all features supported by the Verizon network.

What's the cost to add the Second Number perk to my mobile account?

You can add the Second Number perk to your eligible Verizon monthly mobile plan for $10/mo (plus taxes and fees) when added to Unlimited Ultimate, Unlimited Plus or Unlimited Welcome plans.


If you are not a current myPlan customer, you can still add Second Number as a plan for $15/mo. No fees to activate; no cost to cancel. Taxes, surcharge and fees will apply.


Requires activation of a second number on a Dual SIM capable device compatible with the Verizon network, where one eSIM is not in use. Some devices may not be compatible with all features supported by the Verizon network.

With the Second Number perk, will both my numbers work the same way?

Here’s how each of your 2 numbers work when you have the Second Number perk:

  • Talk and text using either number, at any time.
  • Data (i.e., internet, apps, streaming, etc.) is provided by your primary number.

How can I tell if Second Number will work on my mobile phone?

If you’re shopping for a smartphone and want to use Second Number, the phone’s primary SIM can be either a physical SIM or an eSIM. The phone must also have:


  • At least 1 available SIM
  • Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS) capability enabled

For a smartphone you already own, here's how to see if your device can have a Second Number.*


* Requires activation of a second Mobile Dialing Number on a Dual SIM capable device, compatible with the Verizon network, where one electronic SIM is not in use. How do I add a Second Number perk to my plan?

You can add the Second Number perk at any time on My Verizon:


1. Sign in to your Verizon phone and/or wireless home internet account. Select Services & perks and scroll down to view perks your plan is eligible for.


2. Toggle on the Second Number perk. Select the line to add the Second Number perk to.


3. Follow the prompts to add the perk. After you finish your order, click the Setup button to add the second line to your phone. If you don’t set up Second Number immediately after adding the perk, look for instructions in your email.

Toggling on the perk does not activate the SIM on your Second Number. You must setup and activate the SIM for your Second Number line on the Primary Number device.


* Second Number requires an available eSIM on a Dual SIM smartphone, and an eligible Verizon standard monthly mobile plan for the primary line.
