Objectives

  • Students will collaboratively explore immersive environments, find a primary source artifact, analyze its significance, relate it to the historical context, and discuss its relevance to the singer's life and challenges.
  • Students will engage with passages related to the life and experiences of Florence Mills or Tiny Davis and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the historical context and challenges faced by the chosen figure.
  • Collectively answer questions that require synthesis of the information gathered from the environment, passages, and primary source document, promoting a deeper understanding of the historical narrative.
