What you’ll be doing...

The Manager, Creative Strategy - Business will play a key role on the Marketing Creative team. Reporting to the lead Manager of Creative Strategy, you will work with the Creative Strategy team, Director of Creative Strategy, and Marketing Activation partners to execute campaigns for national and local initiatives supporting our Enterprise and Public Sector segments.

You will be responsible for driving both creative and messaging consistency from a 360 degree consumer engagement touchpoint perspective within and outside the marketing organization, specifically the management of messaging/communication needs in traditional and digital spectrum across our portfolio of network, wireless, and emerging technology services.

Responsibilities will include working with the lead Manager on managing campaigns for Enterprise, Public Sector and more from ideation through execution including strategic planning, creative development, production, budgeting, and legal reviews.

  • Driving communications strategy development based on insights that are grounded in consumer and competitive intelligence.
  • Leading the development and execution of world class creative in new/different ways, inclusive of both traditional and digital creative.
  • Managing the creative vision for world class break-through advertising that leverages a unified strategy for a fully integrated execution.
  • Managing the creative, production, and execution process for advertising materials by working effectively with external agencies and internal teams.
  • Participating and be the voice that represents the Creative Marketing discipline in a cross functional process that drives innovation and culture shaping ideas attached to our brand.
  • Working directly with Verizon legal to secure legal approval on all creative materials and communicate any feedback to advertising agencies and internal teams.
  • Managing production budget for all executions and ensure billing and accrual accuracy with internal finance team and advertising agencies.
  • Developing partnerships with the Marketing Activation team and business units and the internal marketing organization to ensure project timelines and deliverables are completed and evaluated.
  • Monitoring the competitive landscape to constantly stay abreast of new developments and marketing opportunities.

Where you'll be working...

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

This role may be considered as part of the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in developing and implementing marketing communications plans.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Communications, or Marketing.
  • Six or more years of wireless experience and understanding of wireless industry trends and key business drivers.
  • Six or more years of experience in digital, media, and communications planning.
  • Experience in marketing best practices in the B2B field, with a focus on Enterprise and Public Sector segments.
  • Experience presenting your ideas to a range of audiences with success.
  • Ability to drive projects to successful completion.
  • Ability to perform executive communication via Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, complete important time sensitive tasks, adapt quickly to last minute changes, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure, on multiple assignments, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to bring teams with differing opinions to a common place by identifying common ground and negotiation.
  • Knowledge of creative production process (TV, Radio, Print, Digital, OOH).
  • Advertising agency experience or experience managing an agency.
  • Ability at engaging and influencing large teams and functional leaders.
  • Experience in creating and increasing demand for a portfolio of products and services.
  • Organizational, interpersonal, presentation, oral, written communication, and negotiation skills.

If you are hired into a New York work location, the compensation range for this position is between $114,000 and $212,000 based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience.  This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
