What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Solutions Architect will lead High Level Design, Reference Architecture and Implementation for Marketing/Products and Experience areas for the Verizon Consumer Group (VCG). You will be responsible for driving solutions and design patterns that promote reusable UI components, consistent common domain logic, and flexible customer experience orchestration. You will help dive experiences that are personalized by leveraging insights from systems of intelligence. You will be expected to bring strong expertise on Agile and SaFE Frameworks, along with Industry Standard Front End Frameworks, Service Oriented Architecture, Mobile, Web, and Voice & Chat Technologies. The role will demand high standards and technical acumen along with strong attention to scalability and performance to build solutions that can sustain ultra-high volume device launches like Iconic (iPhone, Samsung). The role will involve heavy collaboration with large functional teams across business & IT to design solutions for business transformation use cases across the entire customer lifecycle ranging from acquisition and CRM to onboarding, service assurance, support & retention. You will be expected to work independently and bring in technical expertise and thought leadership to drive best in class architecture and also alignment & adoption of solutions across the GTS group.

  • Implement solutions using the target technical stack framework (UI Framework using ReactJS for Web and React Native for Mobile, Content Management via AEM and Services via Spring Boot).
  • Create solutions architecture diagrams and supporting high level design documents (HLD) for Marketing / Products and Experiences areas for VCG.
  • Architect solutions for Wireless and Wireline customers that range from acquisition, upsell, retention, network transformation, and joint Wireline/Wireless pricing and offers.
  • Lead the design to establish a single Enterprise Preference Center to manage Email preferences have customers manage Email preferences.
  • Drive programs for Marketing Devices Introductions, Trade-Ins and eSIM for mobile customers.
  • Be a change agent in the space of performance, reliability, scalability, and high-availability of enterprise applications
  • Build long lasting relationships with business teams to deeply understand their roadmaps, strategic goals.
  • Conduct reviews, demos and presentations for C-suite and various business executives.
  • Discover and prototype new technology solutions for Systems of Engagement.
  • Review the latest offerings from top vendors like Adobe, PEGA & Salesforce and determine fit for the VCG ecos system.
  • Define methodologies, best practices, perform research, evaluate open source and vendor products in the most critical space of non-functional requirements (NFRs) such as performance, and scalability in the devsecops pipeline.
  • Be a thought leader and an active participant in external forums/ blogs and industry conferences and provide timely updates to CIO/VP leadership and review the project related progress and insights into architecture solutions.
  • Partner closely with business to document existing processes, rules and workflows for migration to Pega.
  • Ensure alignment with solution design across multiple business stakeholder organizations.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience working in large enterprise systems focused on front-end & web application full-stack systems (Preferably Telco or Service Provider).
  • Experience with front end development technologies (especially ReactJS) and mobile technology frameworks including iOS & Android.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies, JS (ES6) or JQuery or ReactJS, JSON, RESTfulAPIs etc.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • Experience with Pega Platform and designing integration with Pega Solution.
  • Experience in Partnering with vendors to create custom solutions for Verizon ensuring scalability and high performance to meet customer and business team SLAs.
  • Experience with marketing promotions around Price Plans and Devices. Experience in Vendor Management and Integrations for supporting Partnered products/services.
  • Experience with Web Content Management solutions including Adobe AEM.
  • Experience with building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use is desirable.
  • Knowledge of modern Auth mechanisms (such as JWT) Advanced knowledge of system relationships in enterprise-wide systems to lead groups of designers and architects in successful system initiatives and projects.
  • Ability to drive the development of interfaces that are understood by a wide user-base and require minimal instruction for an enhanced user experience.
  • Ability to create streamlined documentation procedures for use in translating multi-faceted business issues in a simple and powerful manner.
