Verizon Small Business: April's Story
In the beginning, we had our hands full. There were only 3 of us, so we all wore different hats. I was managing clients, staff, finances, etc. And doing all that didn't leave time to focus on the reason I opened up the shop in the first place.
I mean, there's a difference between being a stylist and being a stylist who runs her own business -- it's called headaches.
I needed something that could allow me to shift my focus away from the business side of things and back to the creative side. It was important to me to be able to have the tools available in my salon so that my team could manage the business simply and effectively, and so I could monitor the numbers even when I was away on location.
Verizon kept me connected and provided online storage, collaboration and email services that helped me organize my schedules, documents, and my business. It also allowed me to view and manage it all when I was on the road.
Besides just the general sanity benefit, having the ability to leave the office every now and then had a business benefit as well. Because now I was able to turn my attention to on-site celebrity styling, whether that be at a photoshoot or on a movie set or whatever. And that kind of high-profile, celeb exposure, actually ends up building buzz and increasing business back at Suite 303.
So ultimately, I think what Verizon gave us was value, service and peace of mind. It's just way easier now. It wasn't always like this. Now I can manage my business quickly and with less paperwork, allowing me to build my clientele. Now, after hours I can be out in the scene, not at work, stuck behind a screen. With Verizon, I don't have to worry.
