The Verizon Intelligent Lighting platform converts LED fixtures into sensor-equipped smart devices that capture and transmit data in near real time. So you get full control over all lights, insights into the state of your lighting infrastructure, and access to an array of lighting applications and services.

Bandwidth is often mistaken for internet speed when it's actually the volume of information that can be sent over a connection in a measured amount of time—calculated as volume per second (e.g., Megabits per second or Mbps). Bandwidth vs speed Bandwidth is how much information you receive every second, while speed is how fast that information is received or downloaded. Let's compare it to filling a bathtub. If the bathtub faucet has a wide opening, more water can flow at a faster rate than if the pipe was narrower. Think of the water as the bandwidth and the rate at which the water flows as the speed. Bandwidth vs latency Latency is sometimes referred to as delay or ping rate. It's the lag you experience while waiting for something to load. If bandwidth is the amount of information sent per second, latency is the amount of time it takes that information to get from its source to you. Bandwidth vs throughput Throughput is how much information actually gets delivered in a certain amount of time. So if bandwidth is the max amount of data, throughput is how much of that data makes it to its destination—taking latency, network speed, packet loss and other factors into account.

Your installation includes connecting up to three televisions with existing coaxial outlets (including installation of set-top boxes). It also includes programming of the Fios TV remote control for your set-top boxes and televisions. Additional TVs can be set up for an additional charge. Our technicians will also do the outside work, including installation of any required network equipment such as the Optical Network Terminal (ONT), router or a battery backup unit (optional), if this equipment is not already present. Depending on the area and your office's set-up, our technician(s) may or may not fish walls or move furniture when installing or replacing wiring or installing set-top boxes. The technician will determine installation specifics with you on the date of installation. Installation time can vary based on a number of factors, but we recommend that you reserve about four hours for the Verizon technician to complete the installation of your Verizon Fios TV service. A person 18 years of age or older must be present for the installation visit and be able to make decisions on placement of wiring and equipment at your office. If you are having both Fios Internet and Fios TV installed, we recommend reserving six hours for the entire installation.

Verizon has teamed with Pindrop to leverage our Media Forking to provide a passive and secure multi-factor call center authentication and anti-fraud service to Verizon IPCC customers. There are 3 service options offered under VoIP Inbound Anti-Fraud and Authentication: Pindrop Protect - Anti-Fraud provides a risk score and call intelligence to the call center in the first few seconds of each call. This score — along with the analysis of the caller's voice, device, and behavior — is provided to the call center. Pindrop Passport - Authentication technology is based on a set of attributes and risk criteria extracted from a call. Scoring is performed by a powerful and configurable risk decision engine. These decisions are automated and governed through a flexible policy engine to build trust for genuine callers. Pindrop Panorama - Anti-Fraud and Authentication combines both services into a single anti-fraud and authentication economical offer.

Utilizing Media Forking, the metadata within the IP header of an inbound call is replicated and sent to Pindrop for analysis. Pindrop's multi-factor solution can passively detect potentially fraudulent callers and authenticate users utilizing patented technologies to determine if a caller exhibits anomalies in their phone number, device, voice or behavior as they naturally engage with a call center. Pindrop's patented Phoneprinting™ technology, Deep Voice™ biometrics, behavioral analytics and Toneprinting™ technology provide an initial and continuous analysis of the call. A Risk Score — along with the analysis of the caller's voice, device, and behavior — is provided to the call center via an API to determine the next steps to take. The call center can route the call to a fraud analyst for further review or analysis. Risk scoring is performed by a powerful and configurable risk decision engine. These decisions are automated and governed through a flexible policy engine to build trust for genuine callers.
