    Anatel

    The National Telecommunication Agency - Anatel has authorized Verizon to provide Multimedia Communication Service - SCM in Brazil, for an indefinite term, with no exclusivity, comprising domestic and international services within the entire Brazilian territory, in accordance with Act No. 49709/2005. The SCM is regulated by Anatel, particularly by its Resolution No. 272/2001, which can be found at Anatel's library or on its website www.anatel.gov.br.

    Verizon provides its SCM services mainly to corporate customers that need specific solutions for their businesses in Brazil. Verizon shall provide these services through Verizon's network facilities in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro as well as through various agreements with licensed operators in Brazil.
