It worked as well as my past flip phones. When the microphone cut out, Verizon refused to say anything was wrong with it. I went in 3 times and was told that it was fine. Terrible service from 1108 Allen Dr, Grand Island, NE.

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

This phone is what my mom gave me. me and my mom don't have a very good relationship but she just made it worse by taking away my iPhone 12 for this garbage 1. The quality is really horrible 2. I can barely do anything with it? 3.I can't text at all. 4. Is it is super confusing to work even with the guide? 5. I cant type very fast when im trying to? As to say i only had this phone for about 1 hour and i hate it already. the only good thing about this phone is that i can watch cat spining on youtube. And I almost forgot the screen is really small.

At least I didn't pay for it.

Ugh. This phone is trash. Less than 7 months of use and the hinge is splitting apart. An acquaintance of mine had the same model but his hinge split completely in 5 months. I still would have given it one star BEFORE that happened. Pros: -I didn't pay for it. I also didn't choose it. But since they do charge some people for it, this is not a universal pro. -The battery on mine wasn't too bad, all things considered. -I liked the default background image/wallpaper. -Has a microSD card slot. (I would have thought all phones should at this point but recent experience has led me to believe that you should no longer assume that.) Cons: -Call quality audio inferior to most 3G phones. -Texting wasn't designed by someone who speaks English; or they think you're going to use T9. Maybe some people do. I don't know why. But if you text like a normal 'basic phone' person, you're going to find yourself either going to the symbol menu all the time or never using contractions OR possessives. Because the symbols that cycle on the 1 key do not include an apostrophe. I've been using cell phones for over 20 years and I didn't know that they could actually regress until this phone was in my hands. At one point it was fastest to type 'the dog that belongs to my dad' when on my older phones, I could've quickly typed 'my dad's dog'. -As far as T9 goes, it literally reset back to T9 from Abc every restart and then sometimes just randomly. Maddening. -Like almost every 4G basic phone I've ever read a review for, it has the fan favorite 'key delay'! Texting or even dialing quickly is now a thing of the past! Expect to see your input show up immediately? No phones for you now, it seems, and this one is no exception. -It has Bluetooth. Which mostly works. Except the random connecting and disconnecting in the car constantly and the mystifying partial call history transfer. It was usable but not in any way optimal. -So the hinge is cracked wide open, but that's not the first crack. Mine developed several micro cracks in various areas on the cheap thin plastic case---and the hardest surface I dropped it on was carpet. My 15 year old Samsung 3G basic phone casing didn't crack until year 11 and I dropped it on concrete in the first year. More than once. And it was also made of plastic. -It is ugly as sin. -It's so ugly it deserves two cons just for that. -Got kinda hot after long use. -The hinge wasn't designed to be opened and shut frequently, which is a fatal flaw in a flip phone, which I swear we all knew in 2007 but *shrug* not anymore? -Ugh the volume button didn't lock so it was constantly adjusting the ringtone volume in my pocket or purse. A lock button is so basic and this basic phone couldn't even manage that. Neutrals: -It has a camera. It sucks, but not more than you'd expect. -You can easily turn data off. -The menu navigation was thankfully copied mostly from older phones and wasn't a nightmare to navigate. I feel like I'm missing three or four cons but because of the broken hinge I can no longer use it, so blissful forgetfulness is already setting in. I'm sure this phone is of this stunningly abysmal build and design quality at least partially to try to annoy me into buying some iGalaxy trash but some of us who aren't even old yet are already stubborn. It did annoy me, but not enough to pay $60 for a phone plan. What. Not to mention the price of the ugly uncreative greasy fingerprint covered brick itself. For the record, I wouldn't have held on to my 3G phone until the last minute if there had been a 4G (sunset compatible!) phone of equal quality available. A newer phone really should be /better/ but I would have settled for equal, and that never happened. And it's not the phone manufacturer's fault. If Verizon ordered some reliable basic phones from Samsung, they could crank them out. Same for any other reputable manufacturer. Verizon doesn't want to, though, and that is all on them regardless of what excuses they try to push.

Forced to replace my father's phone with this garbage. How was it that a 10 year old phone functioned far better than this "new" one. Everyone should stay away from this phone, there has to be a better option.

This phone comes with instructions that describe only the most basic functions such as turning it on or off and charging. Moreover it is not user-friendly. It is impossible to figure out how to see messages or create or receive texting by trial and error. So there are features that I cannot access. Verizon does not even offer a download of a complete manual. The phone is not ergonomic and is either fully open or closed, so when you call someone, in order to place the speaker end close to your ear, the microphone is so far away that the person you call cannot hear unless you awkwardly hold it against the internal spring that keeps it fully open. This phone is a very poor substitute for my prior Motorola flip phone, which came with a completely detailed user manual but is now non-working due to Verizon's forcing it to be obsolete.

Verizon gave me this phone for free saying my old phone is retiring and I've been royal customer since 2015. This phone is way worse than my previous flip-flop. Hard to text, not easy to take photo, pads are so slow to respond and phone communication is cut off on and off. Is this a reward to a long time royal customer from Verizon?! You made a happy customer into very UNHAPPY one.

My mother's phone needed to be updated. Was sent this one. It lasted 9 months, then died. Not worth the cost of the postage to mail it to us. Would give it a negative rating if there was one.
