I bought this phone for my husband, who is hearing impaired, even with his hearing aids. He's able to hear great on it, and it's easy to use. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the battery doesn't last long. He has to charge it nightly and doesn't use the phone a lot during the day, nor does he text. I would think that, taking a couple of quick calls a day, the battery would last longer.

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

Year ago, I didn't like this phone much, but everything isn't perfect. Now that I had to replace the phone I replaced it with the same exact model. On the plus side it's high quality & rugged. You can't call it cheap; Verizon is a great carrier!

You can select the method of answering an incomding call by navigating to Menu > Settings & tools > Settings > Call settings. In this menu you can select additional options like "Any key answer", "Open/close flip", or "Auto answer".
