I've been trying for 2 days to set up my account so I can use this device. Customer support is some international call center where nobody has a clue and they barely speak English. I guess I just have an expensive paper weight now and a reminder of why I hate Verizon in general

Bad activation process . 6 months ago

I purchased my Hum on 3/10/25 3 days later still unable to get into the app. Customer service offers no resolution except it will now be 48 more hours until we are able to connect your device. Two days I was on the phone for 1 hour and 20 something minutes with no resolution except for then to tell me that I have to wait longer. Absolutely ridiculous. When I had sprint my sprint drive device was up and running within the same day and now I am going on 5 days by the time they say it will be activated before being able to use my HUM device. Absolutely ridiculous. The first rep did not input all the information. The second rep had to do so also management said they could not expedite the activation process even tho I have been waiting 72 hours already.

This is the review for my upgraded Hum as ive had my 1st one in a prior car so this is about both Hums ive ordered. I love the Hum cuz it shows all i need to know about my car(s) i need to know to keep it mechanically safe. It does everything it claims on the info part of the Hum itself. My car(s) need this ability to show all a person needs to know about the car. So glad i have this

I had this around 2 years ago maybe less, helped somewhat when it came to roadside which was good, but I loved the wifi during my roadtrips but when my car was stolen it couldn't get located because as soon as you unplug you can't locate it whatsoever ,it only told me last before it got unplugged, would be nice to add the feature like mobiles where it tells you when there is a disturbance near your car, towing also,verizon need to add that, i loved the wifi tho, it helped a lot but should alert when there is a disturbance near car

Hi Kayy. Thanks for your review. Yes, the Hum device gets its power from the car's OBD-II port. If it gets unplugged from the port, it no longer is powered and cannot provide its location. Thank you for your suggestion which we will share with our product managers.

WiFi Option Great Not the Diagnostics

I can't even tell you how many years I've had a HUM in my vehicles. I can tell you that it threw me 7 codes the other day and none of them made sense when looking them up. So, I took the vehicle to get a service diagnostics and they said no codes were read. $300 for them to tell me the HUM is dumb.

I originally bought it to keep track of my elderly uncle who liked to wonder and disappear for several hours at a time. It definitely gave my aunt peace of mind. After my uncle passed I installed in my car and it worked great to monitory cars maintenance and when it was stolen it worked amazingly to locate it.

I have had a HUM in a few different vehicles of mine. It was helpful when I had a vehicle stolen, and it has been extremely helpful in diagnosing issues wrong with my vehicle! The roadside assistance is incredible and much better than my own car insurance assistance. HUM alerted me something was wrong with my vehicle here recently and now I’m in the process of getting a brand new engine replaced. I will always have a HUM and will recommend to everyone! It has never been wrong on the codes that it pulls.

The hum unit fails to respond after entering password on its app. An error message appears: Something is wrong try again. This is an older Hum unit that may need to be replaced. Please advise

Can I use my iPhone by ATT for HUM?

Do I just sign up? Or do I need to order a device for my car first. I have WiFi available in my 2022 Malibu. I am not sure how to start of sign up and turn it on.
