Caused problems with car

Beware of this product. On Mercedes it worked ok, but hardly any more helpful than the car systems. On Subaru it caused the car to throw false warnings, costing me a bundle in diagnosis fees, only to realize it was all false alarm. Verizon was “ok” about crediting me for some of this wasted cost, but my time and inconvenience are just lost.

Great for simple things

Easily plugged in. Worked on my BMW, Benz, Chevy and Honda. Helped me keep almost accurate mpg on all vehicles (while installed). Not the best on codes, but will work grat for tracking. DO NOT GET FOR INTERNET USABILITY, THE WIFI RANDOMLY DISCONNECTS. Use your phones Hotspot for your kids devices, it's less stressful and cheaper.

Being that I am an OTR trucker and occasionally need navigation assistance, the port for that gizmo is not the same as a four wheelers. VZ navigator was truck friendly and always steered me clean of anything less than 13’6” overpasses(Chicago/NJ) any suggestions ? Google maps is not 18 wheeler friendly so my next alternative is Verizon losing a navigational customer to a Rand McNally GPS device that’s truck friendly. Bummer.

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

I’ve used hum in 3 of my cars (pre 2008) other 2 cars are new. They’ve saved me quite a bit of money. They give you the 3 main reasons for CEL and usually it’s on point. Able to see your cars location is a plus. As far as battery drainage I find it hard to believe these little things are power hungry as I have them in an old Audi old bmw and old Nissan all have sound systems and no problems (I barely drive these cars maybe once every other week)

be aware that if you ever take it off your account and want to add it back you cant. Once it is deactivated its junk and worthless. Would be nice if they tell you that upfront.

Keep getting message that Hum OBD is unplugged, checked and determined that that was incorrect detection. Black Box is taped into the diagnostic outlet. What is the problem with my system?

Does the HUM+ OBD have to be recharged?
