Had issues with mine. Owned a 2016 Toyota Camry SE at first. Drove it for almost 2 yrs. Had the HumX in the whole time. It can read codes (not sure if accurately 100% if the time). I never used the device that clips to your visor. It wanted to be an extension of my cellphone when my car already had Bluetooth capabilities and my phone can call 911 in the event of an accident. I bet you're wondering, "But why a 2 start rating." Hotspot was on and off. Constantly. I unplugged and plugged back in I signed out and signed back in. I refreshed. Not every time and not in that order. But the real serious one? I was in a major car accident, one where my car was totalled, and the humx didn't detect it at all. Nothing in the Hum app that said I was in one. Am I missing something? Mainly rated low due to connectivity issues. Code reading is eh. It stopped reading after a while. Could be because I plugged it into my new but older vehicle? It tracks your trips, too. That stopped working accurately in regards to my safety score for driving. I don't know how accurate the trip tracking was because I didn't pay close attention. Anyway. I was happy to get new service. I originally got wifi in my car to drive passengers around. When the internet worked it was good to have.
Love this... I added one car and needed a new HUM device.

Yes, I'd recommend this product.
I really like the features of this one. A must have if you have young drivers, especially if you have an older vehicle without factory emergency calling features. Alerts you when you need service on your car, too.
