With select iPhone models, Precision Finding can lead you right to your nearby AirTag.¹ If it's farther away, hundreds of millions of Apple devices in the Find My network can help track it down. ³AirTag is splash, water, and dust resistant and was tested under controlled laboratory conditions with a rating of IP67 under IEC standard 60529 (maximum depth of 1 meter up to 30 minutes). Splash, water, and dust resistance are not permanent conditions and resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear. Refer to the Safety and Handling documentation for cleaning and drying instructions.

I bought it because my 7 year old daughter got off at the wrong bus stop in a new neighborhood and was lost for an hour. This device doesn’t work if there are no other iPhone devices around so it completely doesn’t work the way I needed it to. It updates only once a day to show me her location and then stops updating when she leaves school. Worst purchase

I like the product. I have other uses for the tag then what I’m testing it for now. I like the price that Verizon offers for the tag. I don’t know why I didn’t use them in the beginning but they are a must now for me!

How far can it detect

AirTags can be detected up to approximately 30-100 feet (9-30 meters) using Bluetooth directly from your iPhone or other Apple devices. However, they can be tracked much further thanks to Apple's Find My Network, which leverages the Bluetooth signals of other Apple devices within a 30-100 foot range to relay location information to you. This allows for tracking potentially anywhere in the world where there are other Apple devices connected to the internet ~Balter
