No bass. The end

This thing has no bass. My old jbl subwoofer had much more control and way better bass sounds. This thing sucks to be honest. Sound is all over the place too. Commercials and music sound different with every changing scene. Even when it randomly gets super loud it still has less bass than ur little sister. I would rank it 1 star but then I would feel really bad about spending a thousand dollars on this thing

First, make sure the subwoofer is properly connected to the main bar, the connection status light should be solid white when paired. Next, move the subwoofer to a different location in the room, with the back panel 4-6 inches against the wall, then confirm the bass level is set to 5. Try unplugging the subwoofer from the wall outlet to see if there's a significant difference in the overall sound output. It's the worst thing I bought in my life. The bass is always to high, even the minimum, the dialogues are terrible, you have to put in a high volume to understand anything, and every time I turn it on, even with a low volume I get a terrible headache. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

Here are some troubleshooting steps that can help isolate the issue with your JBL Bar 1000. First, adjust bass and smart mode: Set the bass level to "low" and turn off smart mode by pressing and holding the mute button for over three seconds, then pressing +. Smart mode will automatically reactivate the next time you turn on the soundbar. Next, change the digital audio format: On your TV, select "Bitstream" instead of "Auto" or "PCM" for the digital audio format. Last, perform a factory reset: Press and hold the source button, volume up, and volume down buttons simultaneously for over five seconds until "RESET" appears. Please note that a factory reset will remove all your personalized settings from the soundbar. If the issue remains, please contact us.

I bought this about a month ago. The only thing I DONT like is that you cannot increase the volume of the detachable speakers high enough to hear. So if they don't push through a software update to fix this forget about the rear speakers. Also forget about atmos if you have vaulted ceilings. And finally the amazon music app on TV does NOT put out atmos music and as far as I know there is NO FREE Atmos music. Other than that it has a great base.

Have had this for a couple weeks now and the bass is amazing which is the main reason I was shopping for a new sound bar. Really like this but the rear speakers seem a little to quiet and the the voices are way to quiet from all speakers even with the everything turned to high and the mid and treble turned up.

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This surround sound has the beat sound of any brand ice used in the past before. Ive used Bose Surround Sound,and even a Sony Surround Souns,among other ones. This is by far the best sounding one. Its teally loud and clear sounding. And the base is also clear sounding. I would recommend this Surround System over any other brands or kinds. Very nice and defiantly worth the price.

Just got the Bar 1000 yesterday and love it. Compared to the 9.1 it has much better clarity, pure voice greatly enhances the voices and is awesome. Music sounds amazing, can hear every instrument all around you. Action movies are great, you feel totally emerged. 100% recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I swapped out an old sound bar in my living room with this system. I’ve notice that I’m actually able to control volume with my phone when I’m watching tv, which is nice (a feature I was missing with my other sound bar). It was real easy to setup, as in all I had to do was plug it in. The end caps that come with to use when you separate the small speakers are quite nice. Overall sounds and looks fantastic!

Can you hardwire the removable speakers so you don’t have to charge them?

When I connect Apple TV 4K ==> Bar1000 ==> Projector, the project can't not support 4K HDR. Only display 1080p HDR. But with ARC connection, projector could display 4K HDR but not support dolby ATMOS. How could I set to support 4k HDR and ATMOS?

The issue is the 4K HDR resolution could not pass through by bar1000 directly… I have to connect Apple TV to bar1000 first due to I need the Dolby Atmos. Dolby Atmos could not support by normal ARC (not eARC). Is it able to fix by software update?

To allow 4K HDR and Dolby Atmos setup, try to connect your Apple TV directly to your projector via HDMI ARC if it supports this connection, then set the source of your JBL Bar 1000 to the TV. Can you add a 2nd subwoofer ?

Our JBL Bar 1000 is a stand-alone soundbar. Adding a second subwoofer is not possible as it is a 7.1.4 channel system.

Why did the price increase so dramatically over the last week or 2? I was very much looking forward to purchasing this product, but now I'm having a hard time justifying the added cost. If I remember it was approx $900 USD. Now it is nearly $1200. +30%?

i can not get this soundbar very loud. i have it turned up all the way. complete system is low? also how do you determine what source is coming into soundbar? like DTS or dolby or atmos? is there a button you can press to see this?
