A Great speaker but lack adjustable EQ

4 out of 5 rating

Rukichimodo · 29 days ago

I bought many speaker since the charge 2 came out but there's never an adjustable EQ for it. Other companies have it. But recently seeing how the JBL Extreme 3 has an update on adjustable EQ I hope after I receive my new Charge 5 it also have an Adjustable EQ. Me and my friends will love it.

best speaker I have owned.

5 out of 5 rating

devn · 1 months ago

This is the most expensive and biggest Bluetooth speaker I have bought. I have owned a fugoo and an altec before. Also have a jbl flip 3 at work. This is the clearest and best sounding speaker I have owned. I don't think I could go back to the cheaper ones. Makes movies and tv shows much better on my computer. I think it sounds even better than my tv sound bar.

Frequently asked questions

Confused17Jan 3, 2022

Why does it seem like music is only playing out of the left side of the logo? Is something wrong?

Customer Support - 20 days

Thanks for your question. This is normal. The tweeter in our JBL Charge 5 is located on the left side of the logo while the woofer is on the right. High frequencies are more directional than low frequencies.

I want to buy a JBL speaker that works with the JBL wireless microphones and receiver. I need an aux port that is compatible, a microphone 1/4 port. Which speaker has this?

Customer Support - 1 months

The JBL Wireless Microphone set allows 2 x wireless microphones* to be connected to any Partybox model through the use of a dongle connected to the Mic/Guitar jack input. Additionally, a 3rd wired microphone - like the JBL PBM100 Wired Microphone, can also be connected to the switchable Guitar/Mic 2 input (available on the Partybox 310). This will also work when using the non-switchable Guitar input on other Partybox models - however, this will bypass the karaoke effects including echo for the connected microphone and, would generally have a slightly different sound character/timbre to a microphone connected to the Microphone input. Please checkout our JBL Partybox speakers using this link. https://bit.ly/3p18bia

Will this speaker take input from a 3.5 jack with a usb-c adapter on it? I am trying to find a portable speaker to use with a outdoor projector that does not have Bluetooth.

Customer Support - 1 months

Thanks for reaching out. The Types C and A USB ports on the speaker can only be for charging the speaker itself or charging other rechargeable electronic devices using the Type C USB Cable that comes in the box. Can I connect to an external source (tv) via the USB port?

Customer Support - 2 months

Our JBL Charge 5 is recommended to be used for streaming audio with mobile phones, tablets, and laptops. Using it with your TV may cause audio-video delays since this headphones doesn't have APTX HD Low latency features. We have a JBL soundbars which is the best option to connect to your TV. In Addition, the USB Type-A output is only used for charging other USB devices (power bank function).

I charge the charge 5 with a battery pack which only allows 1.04 amps.   What are the amps for the charge 5?  Thx

Customer Support - 2 months

Our JBL Charge 5 has a 5V 2A. Higher current is okay but lower than 2amp will make the charging time longer. You can charge your speaker through powerbank As long as the device delivers that output power.
