Thank you for your feedback on our JBL Charge 5. Please try these steps to isolate the issue. First, move the audio source closer to the speakers and move the speakers closer to each other. Walls, obstacles, and other wireless devices can interrupt the Bluetooth and PartyBoost connection. It is possible that there is something interferring with the signal, causing the dropouts. Please make sure that the host speaker is only connected to one audio source and away from other wireless sources to avoid interference. Restart both your speakers and the audio source. Then, pair it again with your speaker. If you're streaming music from the internet, it is possible that there is an issue with the internet connection and not your speaker. If you need more help, please contact us.jbl.com Originally posted on jbl.com

Can this speaker connect and pair with my JBL extreme 4?
Our JBL Charge 4 has Connect + and Charge 5 has PartyBoost. As Bluetooth technology improves, so do our portable products, it isn't possible to connect these two models together. Our Charge 5 can be connected with other PartyBoost speakers like: Flip 5, Pulse 4, Xtreme 3, Boombox 2.-Cryssie

Hello! May I ask that Will the speaker get damaged if I continue to play it at 100% volume? Because I usually use it while I am practicing the drum, so I need my JBL Charge 5 plays at 100% volume with EQ settings to mid and high maximum. Thank you.
Thanks for your inquiry. Setting the volume and the EQ to its maximum level may pose a risk to your JBL Charge 5, particularly when playing audio that is already bass-boosted. This can lead to distortion or rattling, potentially damaging the speaker's driver. Similarly, playing louder songs with the bass set to maximum may also pose a risk. Alternatively, you can still adjust the bass in the EQ and experiment with playing loud or bass-boosted songs. However, it's important to monitor for any signs of distortion or rattling. If you encounter these issues, adjust the settings until the sound is clean and meets your expectations for a satisfying listening experience.
