I bought 2 of these to use at my daughter's wedding after the DJ finishes. The wedding hasn't happened yet but we tested these and are very happy with the sound quality, volume, easy to connect, easy to link the two speakers and the battery duration. We did get them at 20% off on sale

The sound is good but the app is not compatable with Chromebook or HP laptop and maybe other devices. The other JBL Partybox products do not have this issue.

Great sound

I bought this as a gift for my husband's birthday. The sound is great and I love the light that changes with the music providing an added entertainment bonus. We've had a number of smaller bluetooth speakers scattered around our apartment which have been fine but a lot to manage and keep charged etc. Now we've been able to consolidate to this one speaker and the sound is even better than expected. It's the only one we need to hear the music throughout our apartment.

I was looking for another, speaker that was loud for indoor and outdoor use , and I’ve found the JBL partybox speaker, and I’ve loved it since the day I purchased it online . If you’re looking for a nice speaker for family events or just to sit out on that patio or pool side or beach ! This is the speak for you. JBL did not disappoint with this speaker. Can I bring it on International Flights?

Some airlines and airports may have different restrictions on what you can and can’t bring with you on an airplane. We could provide you the Material Safety Data Sheet of our JBL PartyBox Encore Essential which may be useful when you confirm with the airline if they'll allow it as a hand carry. Please reach out to our Customer Support to request a copy of the MSDS.

Can it connect a tv

Thanks for your question. You can connect the JBL PartyBox Encore Essential to to your TV via Bluetooth and a wired connection. However, we recommend connecting it to your TV using an AUX connection to avoid audio-video delays or latency instead of Bluetooth. You may need a DAC (digital-to-analog converter) if your TV doesn't have an AUX output to achieve this setup. While this is technically possible, our PartyBox isn't designed to provide the same audio-video experience as the soundbars.

can the speaker withstand the steam of a shower? not the direct water but the steam itself.

Thanks for your question. Our JBL Partybox Encore Essential has an IPX4 which can withstand water splashes from any direction. However, the unit is not waterproof.

Trying to connect 2 speakers but doesn’t connect when push connect button

Two of our JBL PartyBox Encore Essentials can be connected via TWS mode by simply pressing the TWS button on both speakers. To exit TWS mode: Power off or press TWS on either speaker.
