The RING battery doorbell plus was super easy to install and provides full image HD plus video, motion detection alerts and two-way talk. I’m able to see and talk to anyone at my door and I feel much safer with the RING cameras on my doors! The unit has a quick release battery pack that easily recharges with long lasting life. Anotherr cool feature is that it works with Alexa. For the safety and protection this provides it’s proved phenomenally well!

Do not buy Ring Products. To make a long story short, I’ve owned a ring doorbell camera for little over two years and it has been giving me problems since the beginning recently it finally went out on me and it is no longer working. I contacted their customer service and they only have year warranties. Most tech companies will at least do a one time courtesy replacement. Ring Is refusing to help me. If you are looking for smart home devices, I would recommend Google or Eufy.

I noticed that network is not as stable as their competitors. There are times when i am inside a building that i have limited reach (bars) for taking and making. calls.

The degree of distortion caused by the severe fisheye lens was unexpected. I own three Ring Doorbell cameras and this one is certainly the worst. My four year old Ring doorbell produces a more in focus image that my Battery Doorbell Plus.

I replaced Doorbell 2 with doorbell plus. It does what it is said. I can see a person from head to toe in front of my door. It literally shows everywhere in my porch. I am very satisfied with the wide view angles, horizontal and vertical. The image has also become sharp and crisp.
The issue: Whenever a car/truck passes by in a sunny day, it seems to reflect the sunlight into my porch and white out the image for a second. It did not happen in my previous ring doorbell. It would be a big issue when someone parks his/her car in front of my house and walks toward the door. The camera cannot detect the motion in time as the reflection whites out the image. Because the image looks like a fisheye view, I suspect the algorithm needs to adjust the brightness of the center area of the image.
Three images are attached. They were taken at 10:23am, 1:57pm and 2:45pm respectively. In the third image a mail person walking toward the door cannot be seen. So this issue basically affect the camera for 6-8 hours everyday..
