I bought the Samsung Ring hoping to ditch bulky smartwatches and enjoy a battery life that lasted at least a week. At first, it lived up to the hype, but after two years of daily use, the experience has gone from "cutting-edge tech" to a constant headache.
The Dealbreaker: Battery life is a joke
The most frustrating part is the battery degradation. It has reached an unacceptable level where the battery barely lasts a single day. It’s ridiculous. A smart ring is designed to track your recovery and sleep, but how is it supposed to monitor my rest if I have to leave it on the charger every night? It has turned into a daily charging chore that completely defeats the purpose of the form factor.
The Cons:
Planned Obsolescence: In just 24 months, the autonomy has plummeted. This does not feel like a product built to last.
Charger Anxiety: If you go away for a weekend and forget the charging case, you’re left with a useless piece of metal on your finger.
Poor Value for Money: For the premium price I paid, I expected the battery cell to be much more robust and long-lasting.
Final Verdict:
If you want a device that actually stays with you through the day and night without interruption, look elsewhere. The Samsung Ring is great for the first few months, but after two years, it spends more time in its charging case than on my hand. I do not recommend it.

After one year the battery hardly lasts 24 hours. It provides very little insights and ddefinitely a waste of money. It will now just go to the e-waste pile.

Great Idea but Bad Battery Design

Love the idea behind the product but I have had mine warranty replaced after just 7 months due to the battery only lasting 2 days. Now again after another 6 months the battery is down to lasting maybe 40 to 50 hours forcing me to recharge almost daily. Not even close to the 6 days it lasted when it was new. Now out of warranty I have an almost useless piece of tech I paid good money for. If it gets below 30 hours a charge I'm throwing it in the garbage. I will not keep paying an annual subscription via repair services. I would rather just get an Oura ring if I'm paying constantly.

I love my ring. Sometimes my fingers swell and I have to switch to a different finger but I'm okay with it. It's a super thick ring so I sized for my first finger. It's been great. No regerts.
