Verizon E3200 Wi-Fi Extender for 5G Home FAQs
Richard J . Sep 28, 2025
Do I need to have coax and/or Ethernet connected to use the extender, or will it function as a wifi repeater?
It would need to be connected with either coax or Ethernet cable.
Bryan . Sep 24, 2025
Do I need to log in to the extender or am I basically still logged in to the gateway through the extender?
No, you do not need to log into the extender separately; after initial setup, it will automatically use the same Wi-Fi Name/Password as your Verizon Gateway, so you're still connected to your router through the extender network. -Cryssie

Why is it blinking a white light
A blinking white light on a Verizon E3200 Wi-Fi Extender typically means the device is booting or performing a firmware update. You should not unplug the extender during this process, as it can take up to 10 minutes or more for the update to complete and the light to turn solid white, indicating normal operation and a successful connection.
