I've had this for awhile and have not had any problems with it. However the last update it's had was in August of 2024 other than the apps from play store.

Service is so so if you don’t need to watch sports, Service is OK do not I do not recommend

Internet service good picture quality at times poor due to pixelation especially football games and sports with a lot of action disappointed

If I have a smart tv, can I simply download the Verizon FiOS tv app and stream channels without having to install a separate box? Seems to me that a box of any kind is unnecessary at this point. Would love to turn on my TV, automatically start it in the FiOS tv app, and still use numerical channels. And have more DVR storage. This is the way.

Verizon Cannot Support this Device

I'd give zero stars if I could. I got this two months ago and the remote stopped working. It took five hours and two chat sessions to get a resolution. The first chat was three hours and I was passed on to another agent four times and when I was close to a solution I was hung up on because they knew they were getting a bad review. Second chat was two hours but finally got a new device sent to me. They spent five hours going back and forth with each other behind the scenes because they didn't know what remote went with this device and they couldn't decide if I needed a new device or a new remote. At one point they tried to charge me $20 for a new remote when my device was only two months old. I was offered nothing back for my time until I went back online to file a complaint and at that point I was offered $10 for the five hours I lost, so I guess they think I'm worth $2 an hour. On top of all of that the device sucks. You have to reboot it every time you turn it on if you want to watch your DVR because it cannot stay connected. It doesn't even come with Fios TV setup on it. Save your time and money and buy a Fire Stick I guess.

Can the stream device get connectivity through the USB-C?

Yes, but not directly for a standard internet connection; the Verizon Stream TV device gets its data via a specialized USB-C adapter, which is the Verizon Stream TV MoCA Ethernet Adapter. This adapter connects to your router (via Ethernet or coax), and then provides both power and data to the Stream TV device through a single USB-C cable. The USB-C port on the Stream TV device by itself is only used for power. -Red

My tv isn't a smart TV, does this allow you to stream content similar to a Roku Stick?

How can I get Paramount plus streaming through Verizon fios?

As an Android TV box. The Verizon Stream TV can play Android TV games from the Google Play store. But ALL of my bluetooth controllers are incompatible and won't connect to the Stream TV! Please recommend a wireless game controller that is compatible!
