Gets hot and doesn't charge all the way to 100%

I owned a Google pixel 2XL and absolutely loved it. So I figured why not get another pixel. When I went to the store, they were out of the regular Pixel 6 and suggested the pro. The salesman said that it has a battery life of 25 hours which I really liked. I decided to get it but once I got home and messed around with it, I realized that I already want to return it. The phone gets hot if you are using it for more than an hour (watching TikTok, YouTube videos). I also noticed that whenever I charged it when I go to bed, so it'll be on the charger for 8 hours, it will only charge to 84%. The second I take it off the charger, it drops to 81%. I've only had this phone for 2 days and regretting it. The screen is large which is nice but it slopes off the sides a little bit. The design looks nice, however, when using Instagram or Facebook, some of the editing software to enlarge text falls right on that slope so it makes it difficult to mess around with photos. The camera is ok. Takes nice pictures but it doesn't like to focus on things up close. There also isn't a back button. On the old Pixel, it was near the bottom of the phone. On this phone, you have to swipe left somewhere in the upper left area of the screen. Which is obnoxious because you can't always find that sweet spot and end up swiping forever until you can just go back to a page you wanted. The charger that is provided is a Usb-c and is that in both ends. They don't provide you with a wall charger, just the cord. Which means that if you don't have the wall charger, you have to go buy an adapter for it. There's no headphone jack which means that you'll have to buy an adapter for that as well. I've used the adapter and my phone reads it as a charger, and not headphones. I tried also using my square reader with the adapter and this phone kept thinking it was trying to get a charge when I'm not charging it. Overall, I'm very disappointed in the new Pixel and regret buying this. Will definitely return and get a different brand
This is a wonderful phone!

Yes, I'd recommend this product.
Don't know why some are complaining...have used it a lot the past week since receiving it. My wife and I got the same 256G option. Cameras are very good so far. Occasionally too much sharpening but this will be tweeked in future updates. Had similar issues with past phones. Battery life is fantastic. I used my pixel 6 pro for well over two hours screen on time and only use 16% of my battery. Wow! Charges fast enough...and I like that it slows down a lot when charging is over 80%. This will save the battery and make it last longer before requiring a replacement. Highly recommended!
