Not like previous Pixels!!

2 out of 5 rating

HouseMoverWI · 22 hours ago

I had the Pixel 3 - great phone!! No issues, great photos, awesome battery! I then 'upgraded' to the Pixel 5 - not as great as the 3, but still really good. So when I switched cell companies I decided to go with the 6 Pro - wow, what a disappointment. Photos are still good and I like the editing software for them but thats it. The phone is slow, freezes up, battery doesn't last, and it won't connect to my car via Android Auto (I have a 2019 Honda). I don't like the swiping feature either - it's not as easy to use and I if I try to swipe a page on a website, but swipe too close to the edge of the phone, it exits me out of the page. I might have kept the phone if it would have connected to my car, but that's a deal breaker as I use Android Auto a lot. I have read that this is a common issue. Also, what happened to Pixels being affordable? That's not the case anymore!

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

I have read some of the reviews, and i don't get what their problems are. This phone is perfect in every way. But, if you're technically challenged, then maybe not. If you're not familiar with computers, then you might need a crash course in I.T. I love this phone. I have it in 256 g.

Pile of garbage

1 out of 5 rating

Driven · 2 days ago

This phone is the biggest pile of garbage ever made. If you don't have anger issues before the phone you will after you have it. The fingerprint sensor works. Maybe 40% of the time. The phone is glitchy as hell and the screen is unresponsive. Be better off, throwing your money down a toilet and flushing it. I'm convinced the other good reviews on this are all fake. There is no way anyone enjoys this piece of crap.

Worst phone I've ever owned

1 out of 5 rating

Samuel · 3 days ago

I cannot recommend this phone to anyone. So many software glitches. My phone randomly freezes when trying to close out tabs and I have to restart my phone completely to get it to work again. And I can not switch in between google maps and Spotify otherwise my whole phone will crash. And my audio randomly goes out for a few seconds at a time while playing music, and the cellular connection is complete garbage even in areas where I supposedly have full bars of 5g. The only good thing about this phone is the 1x and 4x lenses on this phone, wide angle is terrible and don't even think of using the camera or video at night because it's like shooting or taking pictures on an iPhone 4 at night.

Problems from the get go!

1 out of 5 rating

llllizlll · 6 days ago

First, had problems finding a charger that would charge this phone. They were all the same and charged other phones, but not this one. There is such thing as fast charge on this phone. At least the wireless charger works. Since I had one way of charging, I thought I would try this phone out...I mean it is a Google phone...right? The screen constantly freezes up and I have to close the phone then open it (not the right words, but hopefully it will be understood) and sign in AND then I have the ability to be able to use app or close it and reopen it. Same thing happens when I try to go to open windows or to the main screen. I haven't had much a chance to figure out how things work specifically for this phone, but every day I hope the phone will convince me to get another Pixel 6Pro and I am constantly disappointed. I really wanted to use this phone, but I think instead of returning it for one that works, I will pay the restock fee and get another brand.

Another Failed Attempt

2 out of 5 rating

laostus3 · 7 days ago

After my Pixel 3XL broke i was forced to upgrade and got the 5. This phone is a better version of the 5, but still fails. Cellular connectivity is poor, battery life is lacking, and the phone freezes several times a week. By freezing, I mean that only a hard reset unfreezes it. I shouldn't have to do that. In addition to those issues the phone gets super hot at times for no reason. I can not recommend this phone.

You don't really get your money's worth

2 out of 5 rating

Kassius · 9 days ago

I was so hyped for this phone to drop but after using it for a while, I have never had worse connectivity at home. I specifically switched to Verizon to have better service at home and definitely did until I switched to this phone. Don't get me wrong, the camera is awesome and the customization is cool but I want a phone that actually works when I need it to. This isn't the phone for you if you live in rural areas. And the battery life is TERRIBLE. I don't even get a full days use without the battery saver on. I keep it on all the time just so I can get the same usage I did on my old phone (an iPhone 12 Pro Max). And don't even get me started on the buggy apps and nearly constant app crashes. I'm for sure switching back to an iPhone because I never have these kinds of problems when using Apple products. Needless to say, this phone is NOT worth $900...

Was hoping for a good phone

2 out of 5 rating

Makinmecrazy12 · 9 days ago

I upgraded to this from a Moto Z2 Force. Mainly for the camera. And while it takes good pictures, that's about all.. My biggest complaint is the service connection. I spend about 95% of my time on the LTE network. I have unlimited everything and 5G plan, but I spend most of my time on LTE. This seems to be a common problem with this phone. I'm a delivery driver and I need to be able to access the internet at any time. And make phone calls to clients. I'm having trouble doing this currently. I have never upgraded a phone earlier than my payment plan but I am already looking at trying to upgrade to an iPhone or a Galaxy and I've only had this phone for 4 months.

Aggravating

2 out of 5 rating

Joshua6373 · 9 days ago

I so badly want to love this phone, but I honestly cannot. I had the Pixel 1 XL and a Pixel 2 XL when they both launched. Before this phone, I came from a Pixel 3XL that I've had since launch. I loved that phone so much, and it was still working great when I upgraded to the 6 Pro when the 6 released. I honestly wish I hadn't upgraded. Pros: Beautifully designed phone. Camera is good for the price of the phone. Android ecosystem is simple. Cons: A lot of these bugs are likely fixable by software updates, but they are becoming overwhelming and occurring daily where the phone is no longer enjoyable. The phone bricks itself randomly. It has happened about 4 times since I've owned it. The phone is connected to Bluetooth (either Pixel Buds or car Bluetooth) but the screen remains black. I can feel the haptic feedback of the lock screen / opening apps, and the music still plays but the screen is black. Usually, it resolves on its own in about 5 minutes but there's been 2 times where I had to force restart the phone. The phone has constant issues with the gesture navigation. I used gesture navigation on my 3XL with no issues. The 6 Pro is horrible. It's to the point where 1 in 5 times of swiping home or switching apps, the phone glitched and fails to do. It'll glitch back and forth between having the current app open and attempting to go to the homescreen for about 5-10 seconds. You cannot do anything while this happens, and eventually it goes to the home screen and allows you to control it again. Service / WiFi calling / fake 5G. I have 2 Verizon phones, one for work (iPhone XR) and my personal one (Pixel 6 Pro). The Pixel 6 Pro is constantly dropping calls, unable to dial out, and not having data signal. Even when the Pixel says it has LTE or 5G with full bars, websites, apps and texts do not load. Google maps will say I am offline. It happens multiple times a day where I just have to wait for the phone to figure it out or have to turn mobile data off and back on. My iPhone XR does not have this service issue, and they're both on Verizon. WiFi calling on the Pro is an absolute joke, and it does not work anymore. It started about a week ago where I can hear the person on the other line, but they could not hear me. At first, I did not know what it was. When I turned off WiFi calling, then all was good with phone calls. I would not recommend this phone as it currently is. Despite it being beautifully designed with a great camera, these software bugs are just too much. I might have to switch over to the S22 if Google doesn't get their act together.

Worst Pixel I have owned.

3 out of 5 rating

Sneaky · 11 days ago

I have previously owned the 2 and 4. The Pixel 6 Pro is an ok phone but I enjoyed my 4 better. The 6's "finger print reader" almost never works, the reception is pretty bad and the hotspot will randomly turn off while divices are connected. No new features, if anything, there were features removed from previous models. Battery life is one of the few redeeming things about this phone.
