I'm a contractor. Battery started fine, after 18 months drains quickly. That's ok, part of the reason I bought it was removable battery. Except the back cover screw stripped after first time replacing the SD card. Don't like having to take the battery out to remove SD card. Second week of owning, screen scratched and the charging port cover got stuck so it won't close flush in the case, therefore probably not waterproof anymore. Also will only charge on wireless charging now. Speakers blew the first month, so anything above half volume crackles like crazy. The screen isn't great; hard to type accurately with the keyboard. Camera is mediocre. I do like being able to assign functions to the physical buttons, just wish it was more rugged. Not worth the price IMO, wish Verizon could offer support for other rugged phone manufacturers as BYOD.

I have owned every Casio and kyocera phone, and this one is the absolute worst. My last kyocera lasted 5 years, this one about 5 months. Gets so hot you cannot touch it. Battery drains from 90% to 3% in as little as an hour. Sent emails directly to Kyocera, been ignored for weeks. DO NOT buy this phone. Former loyal Kyocera phone owner.

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

I have had the Pro3 since it was released, been 2 years now ? Phone generally works well. However as of late it's starting to go dead quicker and quicker and over heats. I changed out the battery, seems to still be a issue. Great phone if you need something tough. I would love a newer model, upgraded camera. Not sure if I am going to buy another or not, unfortunately not to many in the industry are focusing on tough phones and it doesn't seem that koycera is putting new models out often.

I have owned atleast 6 of these phones. If I haven't lost the phone in a river every single one goes black screen and never turns back on. The only reason I stayed with this brand was the sapphire screen and now they can't even do that right. I have had this latest phone for 2 months and the screen has already cracked. I don't know what Kyocera was thinking but you have ruined a good product. 1/10 do not recommend.

Worst phone I've ever owned. Screen gets so hot it burns my fingertips. Battery life is the worst I've ever seen. It will restart on it's own for absolutely no reason. DON'T BUY THIS PHONE!!!

The phone certainly seems durable and overall performance is satisfactory. Main issue is that it overheats regularly if a case is added for extra protection from drops and falls.

Battery cover is flimsy and comes loose, makes me worried about getting elements inside phone. Screen sensitivity is subpar. Does not always react to touch. Nothing like the older versions.

Thank you for your feedback on the battery cover. The battery cover must be installed correctly, by first placing the plastic tabs on the top edge into position under the edge of the case and then pushing down along the sides and bottom to snap all the other tabs into place. Finally, the back cover is secured with a locking screw. Note that portions of the battery cover may come slightly loose during a drop and should be snapped back into place in order to restore waterproofness. The fact that the back cover yields slightly under pressure does not diminish the phone’s ability to withstand drops. The raised, reinforced edges and corners take the brunt of impacts and a cover that flexes is less likely to dent or crack. We are confident that this design will satisfy the vast majority of users who need an ultra-rugged smartphone. Please also make sure you upgrade your phone to the latest software. Kyocera

Does the camera have an image stabilizer?

DuraForce PRO 3 does support image stabilization when taking both photos and videos. It is enabled all the time when taking photos and can be turned on or off for taking videos.
