Good all around phone. Issue Is Not many options available like basics Flashlight/Weather/Outdoor App's Like my old phone that was standard at a less price. Have to pay extra and load all these app's like was claimed this phone already had! Screen Is great weight Is perfect Had to also buy a charging block and cord that was not Included! Just due to my other phone going out and was In a spot to get a new one this was the best option not so much now. Motorola what happened!?

Good Phone with Good price

This is a fully functional and usable phone. This 2025 model replaces a 2024 model where I damaged the screen and then went into the water (not my brightest moment). For my non-gaming needs, the phone is swift, of good size and proper performance. I don't really understand the need for all of the excess that Motorola offers or provides with the phone. I basically don't know if I'll ever need/use these extras but it's not overstuffed like a Samsung.

I got my new phone about a month ago. So far so good! Once I got rid of the apps that auto-populated on my phone and got my regular stuff set up, I've enjoyed it. I like Motorola phones anyway and wasn't super looking forward to switching to a different brand while I was shopping. But this one seems to be working great and was available at a decent price!

Love this phone! Bright clear screen, great battery life, responsive enough (I do not game), not much bloat. It looks great, and I am a fan of the curved edge screen. 256GB of storage is a benefit these days. I also own a Pixel 9 but find the Edge 2025 is every bit as reliable and enjoyable to use. Two critiques of the Edge 2025: 1) retail price is too high, but frequent sale prices compensate. 2) only 2 major Android updates expected.

Mostly disappointed but overall, it's okay. I do not care for the rounded edges and it's often difficult to get the keyboard to engage when texting. I definitely don't like the color. The battery life is good. The amount of bloatware is ridiculous!

I have had several Motorola phones which I really enjoyed. But Motorola needs to get serious with their cameras on more than just one super high end phone. Also, I cannot believe you promote the curved screen as a positive. The curved screen means you can't put it in your back pocket without opening up and a half you didn't want to open where you can't read it lying in bed or sitting in a chair without your fingers changing pages because you cannot hold the phone without touching the screen with your fingers on the side. Sorry to be negative, but I cannot buy another Motorola because of the camera and the curved screen.

Downgrade from previous versions

I previously had the 2024 version of this phone and loved it, unfortunately the 2025 version locked some of the basic functionality that the previous version had. Most of all everything needs to be done through wi-fi, you cannot download phone updates without using Wi-Fi and you cannot connect to external devices with a USB cable but need to have wi-fi. Not sure why a newer version would have less features and functionality than a previous version, very very disappointed with this purchase would not buy a Motorola product again.

The edge 2025 has been a great phone. It does all the things you expect a smartphone to do. The screen is large and clear, pictures and videos are great, but it doesn't fit in my motorcycle clamp style phone mount. PHONES ARE TOO BIG these days. I want to say that I have been a loyal Motorola customer since the days of the V60 in the early 2000's and I have had many Motorolas since then, My favorite being the Droid Mini. It was a great phone that actually fit in my pocket, the battery lasted days with heavy usage. So, Motorola, I would love to see an edge Mini or something. Not a folding edge like the RAZR which is still too bulky for a pocket. I feel like I cheated on you and bought a Unihertz which is that same size as my old V60 without the antenna (I'm a hoarder) but it fits in my small pocket watch pocket in my jeans. The battery is good for 2-3 days with normal usage but its just not the same as my motorolas. Please can you build a small 3.5-4 inch screen sized edge mini or name it whatever you want. Please. I want to come back to motorola, but I will not buy another 6+ inch screen sized phone.

I came from an older entry-level 4G phone from another brand, so I am very happy with several aspects of the Edge 2025. It is much faster at loading apps, has plenty of memory, a bright screen, good GPS tracking (even in the woods without cellular coverage), wireless charging, and IP-rated water resistance. I also appreciate the clean version of Android with relatively little bloatware. Unfortunately, the phone is a major disappointment for me in two important respects. I am an amateur photographer, and I bought this phone partly because the three-camera setup looks very good on paper: standard, telephoto, and wide-angle lenses. Unfortunately, the image processing increases contrast and saturation so much that I end up deleting more than half of the pictures I take. There does not appear to be any way to turn this processing off. I also find the wide-angle lens of limited use because of the significant distortion toward the edges of the image. The second problem is the curved screen. I never really understood the appeal of curved edges, but I assumed they would not cause any problems. Unfortunately, they do. Images and text are distorted near the edges, and I frequently launch apps accidentally because my hand touches the curved portion of the screen while I am holding the phone. On one occasion, I almost sent a completely inappropriate emoji to a work group because of an accidental touch. For me, the curved screen is a significant usability problem, and I would not buy another phone with curved edges. I would like to see Motorola take a more no-nonsense approach, somewhat like Lenovo's approach with ThinkPads. These laptops have a loyal following because they focus on doing the important things well: excellent keyboards, robust construction, and good hardware. First, I hope Motorola improves the camera software. Then, I think Motorola could take its rugged-phone concept considerably further. Given wireless charging and eSIMs, a truly waterproof phone seems within reach. Imagine a phone that could safely be taken rafting or snorkeling. It would also be interesting to add direct communication between nearby phones when conventional communications infrastructure is unavailable, or for groups working in areas without cellular coverage. This could be particularly valuable for emergency responders, people in remote communities, and anyone who spends time outdoors. I studied peer-to-peer communications as part of my electrical engineering degree and have some ideas about how this could become a practical smartphone feature. Motorola engineers are welcome to contact me if they would like to discuss it. I would much rather see Motorola pursue practical innovations like these than continue making phones thinner, longer, or foldable. Personally, I would prefer a somewhat thicker, more compact phone that fits comfortably in a pocket. Overall, there is a lot that I like about the Edge 2025, but the camera processing and curved screen are serious enough problems that I would think twice before buying another Motorola phone. I hope Motorola continues to focus on practical, robust phones that solve real problems rather than simply following smartphone trends.
