Finally gave up my Droid turbo 2, I waited 4 months to give this review, It has been a great phone

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

It is larger than many other Motorola phones, heavier, though in action it hasn't bothered me or gotten in the way. This phone has much better reception and battery strength, I work in a building with really terrible cell phone reception, my battery would always heavily drain while I was at work. Forget taking pictures, or even checking email while I worked. This phone is handling it well! No drain, great signal strength! I can check emails, take and upload a few pictures, even answer phone calls. The systems and actions make sense, I am semi-techy though not a pro. I feel I can easily move between operations. It has some fun new features compared to my Droid, and the camera system is amazing!! I read some of the negative and positive reviews before I made my purchase. I have now 4 months in with this phone and have found nothing negative. The way I use my phone, this phone has been a great fit. Though I am not a gamer, I use navigation frequently, use my apps frequently including instagram, take a lot of photos, the memory is large. For the price this has been a great phone with just enough tech!

Went from a Motorola Moto Z4 to this piece of crap. A downgrade in every category. Thicker, heavier, slower all for the same price point as the Z4. Oh, your kid is doing something cute and you want to take a picture? Don't worry, by the time your camera loads they will be done doing it. Run run far away from Motorola.

This is a terrible phone. Had it now 45 days. Was planning to return it but store closed before I got there on day 30. Phone has no service. I live in an area that during the day I have 3G service and after school kids go to bed I then have 4G but very weak signal. This phone don't have 3G so don't have service some days. It also locksmith freezes up, can't return to a previous page sometimes., The Bluetooth range is about 20 feet, where as my moto Z3 was near 100 foot range.. if you watch a video and turn the phone side ways to see it full screen, you get half a picture or it won't rotate(!yes rotate is on) very frustrating. Also if someone shares several pictures, you might get to see 2 or 3 when you swipe to go to the next and it closes. On the 35th day of owning it, the rear camera lens cracked. Frustrating. Save your money, don't buy this phone. Battery life isn't great either. Maybe 24 hours with light use

Software issues

1 out of 5 rating

Cody · 11 days ago

Got this phone new in August and have nothing but problems out of it. Apps, games, internet, phone calls, everything occasionally shut down and sends me to the home screen with no error messages. Been through Verizon trouble shooting and have gotten 3 replacement phones (all same model) Verizon then referred me to Motorola who I sent my phone to them for repair or replacement. They were unable to fix it as well. Naturally the replacement they sent me has the exact same problem. Now Verizon is telling me that they basically refuse to do anything about it other than sending me more replacements (same model). Save yourself the headache it's a blackhole of issues you can only get out of by paying as scheduled. (Verizon refuses to let me pay off early for upgrade)

And since I past Verizons 30 days nothing I can do I am stuck with a mud snake that doesn't work right! Is this phone water proof

Chris - 1 years

Like most phones no, it's water resistant, meaning that if it gets splashed or is dunked in water for it will be fine, but if it's dropped in water and stays in it for a good 15 or so seconds it's done for.
