I have been a samsung fan for so long that any chance to upgrade i will take it. The screen has came a long way and makes me believe technology advances ever so quickly. With little to no delay and no crease on the screen. I look forward to what samsung has to offer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decided to take a break from the foldable phones during the 6th generation because I really didn't need to upgrade to the 7, nor did I want to, but a year later, upgrading to the 8 is simply amazing. The battery is bigger, charges faster, the crease is basically non existent, and the software is also very smooth. I only wished that they included the S pen on this new foldable, but it's still a great phone nevertheless. I'm happy with this purchase to be honest.

The moment you unfold it, the screen just draws you in. It feels less like a phone and more like carrying a small tablet that happens to fit in my pocket. What sold me was the multitasking. I can have my notes open on one side, a browser on the other, and reply to messages without losing my place. For someone who works on the go, that has been a genuine game changer. The camera has surprised me too. Low light shots come out crisp, and the colours look true to life rather than overcooked. Battery life comfortably gets me through a full day, even with heavy use, which I did not expect from a foldable. Is it pricey? Yes. But it feels solid, the hinge is reassuringly sturdy, and the build quality justifies the cost. After a few weeks I can say it fits into my daily routine in a way no other phone has. If you are on the fence, take the leap. This is easily the best device I have bought.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra because I was already used to the folding form factor. When I received my device I was genuinely surprised and impressed by its larger main display and larger inner display. When I put my older Z Fold 3 next to it I noticed the device was larger in ways that were not flattering and smaller in ways that limited productivity. The slightly, but noticeably, larger screen is really what surprised me the most. I was already expecting better overall performance as I skipped upgrading over the 6 and 7. But, as I keep mentioning, the larger display really does mimic a slab from my note 10+ days something I had come to miss but wouldn't trade off the massive innerscreen as I use this device as my main device for browsing websites. Where the sometimes smaller is better comes in is when you compare the two devices in thickness. Now, I didn't really mind the thickness of the Fold 5 as it was very similar if not identical to my Fold 3. However, the new device is much slimmer which I would say oddly adds a premium feel to my Fold 8 Ultra. The screens on the Fold 8 Ultra are very bright which is clear when I compare them to my old devices. The PPI also seems to be more dense even though I haven't looked at the specs to see if I'm just imagining this. Great quality all around. Ultimately I would recommend the upgrade if you're coming from a 5 to an 8. I cannot tell you to do so if you have a 6 or 7 because I have no experience with those devices.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra has been a great upgrade so far. The inner display is incredibly bright, sharp, and vibrant, and the cooler color tone makes everything look especially clean. Even at lower brightness levels, it can still look brighter than my Fold 7 at full brightness, which is a major improvement for everyday use. One of the main reasons I love the Fold is that I use it to write my books. The large inner screen gives me much more room to work than a normal phone, making it easier to write, edit chapters, review notes, and switch between documents without feeling cramped. It feels much closer to carrying a small tablet while still fitting in my pocket. The phone is also excellent for multitasking, watching videos, reading, and using apps that benefit from the extra space. It feels premium, fast, and powerful, exactly what I would expect from a high-end Samsung foldable. The crease is still there, but it is easy to ignore once I start using the phone. I was also pleasantly surprised that my old Fold 7 case fits and lines up properly with the cutouts. That made switching phones much easier and saved me from having to immediately buy another case. Overall, the Fold 8 Ultra feels like a refined and impressive foldable. The display is the biggest highlight, performance is excellent, and the larger screen has become genuinely useful for my writing. For someone who writes, multitasks, or uses the inner display often, it feels worth it.
