Make a Payment

Making a payment with Apple Pay® offers convenience and enhanced security. Your financial information stays private while you easily check out online or in stores using your Apple® iPhone® or iPad®.

Before you begin

For assistance with the initial setup of Apple Pay, refer to Initial Setup.

iPhone X and Newer Models

  1. You can use Apple Pay in participating stores with contactless payment readers.
  2. Double-click the
    side button
     to open the Apple Pay app.
  3. When prompted, actively look at your iPhone to verify your identity using Face ID or enter your passcode.
  4. Bring the iPhone to within approximately one inch of the contactless payment reader.
  5. Apple Pay tries to authenticate the payment.
  6. Apple pay approves the payment.

Other iPhones / iPad and Older Models

  1. You can use Apple Pay in participating stores with contactless payment readers.
  2. Bring the iPhone to within approximately one inch of the contactless payment reader and press your finger on the Touch ID.
  3. Apple Pay tries to authenticate the payment.
  4. Apple pay authorizes the payment using Touch ID.

Pay From an App

  1. Supported Apps has an option to 'Buy with Apple Pay' at checkout and may allow you to enter card info, shipping, billing and contact info.
