Add / Remove Touch ID

Set up Touch ID on your Apple® iPad® for fast, secure access. Remove saved fingerprints when troubleshooting or changing devices.

Before you begin

Ensure a passcode has been set up.

Open the

Settings app

Tap

Touch ID & Passcode

then enter the passcode.

Tap

Add a Fingerprint

then do one of the following:

For first-time setup: Place finger over the

Touch ID sensor

then follow on-screen prompts to capture fingerprint.

To add more Touch ID fingerprints: Place finger over the

Touch ID sensor

then follow on-screen prompts to capture fingerprint.

To remove Touch ID fingerprints: Tap the fingerprint name then tap

Delete Fingerprint

To edit Touch ID fingerprint name: Tap the fingerprint name, update the info then tap the

Checkmark icon
