Add a Virtual Private Network - LG G Pad™ X8.3

Here's how to add a virtual private network (VPN) to your LG G Pad X8.3 to encrypt your internet traffic and protect your online identity via a secure remote server.
  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    More
    VPN
    Basic VPN
    .
  3. If presented with a lock screen notification, tap
    OK
    .
    Refer to Set Up Screen Lock for assistance.
  4. Tap
    Add Basic VPN network
    .
  5. From the Name field, enter the appropriate name.
    If needed, contact the VPN administrator for assistance with server information and credentials.
  6. Tap the Type field then select the VPN type.
  7. Enter the needed information into the applicable fields then tap
    Save
    .
    If applicable, tap
    Show advanced options
     to configure the following options, which may vary depending on the selected VPN type:
    • Enable L2TP
    • IPSec pre-shared key
    • DNS search domains
    • DNS servers
    • Forwarding routes
