Here's how to extend battery life, view charging status / remaining battery and determine what uses the most power on your Galaxy S7 / S7 edge.

View Battery Life

Open the

Settings app

Navigate:

Device maintenance

Battery

BATTERY USAGE

Review the Past and predicted usage graph.

The graph displays the time since it was last charged to 100%.

Battery life is measured by standby time, talk time and data usage.

Review the Recent battery usage section.

Percentage indicates how much battery usage occurred for each category.

To improve battery life, you can:

Disable or uninstall apps (e.g., live wallpapers, etc.) that are consuming too much battery or RAM or aren't being used.

Contact the app developer if an app appears to cause excessive battery drain.

Turn off GPS when not in use.

If turned off, certain apps or services may not work properly.

Ensure battery optimizations aren't ignored; make sure accounts (e.g., email, Facebook®, etc.) are turned on or off as desired.

Remove widgets that automatically update.
