Here's how to add a virtual private network (VPN) to your Galaxy J3 V / J3 (2016) to encrypt your internet traffic and protect your online identity via a secured remote server.
  1. Open the
    Settings app

    VPN
    .
  3. If presented with a lock screen notification, tap
    OK

    Refer to Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock for assistance.
  4. Tap
    ADD VPN

    For Prepaid device, tap
    Basic VPN
    .
  5. Contact the VPN admin for assistance with server info and other necessary credentials:
    • Name
    • Type
    • Server Address
    • Username
    • Password
    • If applicable, tap
      Show advanced options
       to configure the following:
      The available options vary depending on the selected VPN type.
      • DNS search domains
      • DNS servers
      • Forwarding routes
