Steps

  1. Press and hold the

     until the device begins to power on. Select a language then tap

  2. Confirm the correct phone number displays then tap

    Activate now

  3. Sign in to your Google™ account or create a new one.
  4. Enter the first and last name then tap
    Next

  5. To set up a lock screen, select
    Protect this device
    .
  6. Follow the onscreen prompts to review and accept the Google Services options (e.g., Device maintenance, Location, etc.).
  7. From the Verizon Cloud screen, tap
    Skip
    then tap
    Not Now
    .
  8. From the Email setup screen, tap
    Skip
    .
  9. From the Setup Wizard summary screen, tap
    Done
    .
  10. Sign in to your Samsung account to access Galaxy-specific features.
