Manage Face ID Settings

Face ID provides secure and easy access to apps and features on your Apple® iPhone®. Configuring its settings helps fine-tune how it works for unlocking your phone and authenticating actions.

Before you begin

The steps below only apply to the iPhone models with Face ID. For Touch ID, refer to Manage Touch ID Settings for more info.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Face ID & Passcode
     then enter your passcode.
  3. Tap any of the available switches (e.g., iPhone Unlock, iTunes & App Store, etc.) to turn on or off.
  4. Tap
    Stolen Device Protection
     then tap the
    Stolen Device Protection switch
     to turn on or off.
    Only available with iOS 17.3 or later.
