Enable / Disable / Modify Screen Lock

A screen lock secures your Apple Watch® and keeps it private. Setting it up or adjusting the options helps you find the right balance between security and accessibility.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Tap
    Passcode
    .
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To set up screen lock:
      1. Tap
        Turn Passcode On
        .
      2. Enter a 4-digit passcode then re-enter it to confirm.
    • To disable screen lock:
      1. Tap
        Turn Passcode Off
        .
      2. Enter your current passcode.
    • To change the passcode:
      1. Tap
        Change Passcode
        .
      2. Enter your current passcode then enter the new one.
      3. To confirm, re-enter your new passcode.
Unlock the Device
