If you've recently reset your Galaxy S9 / S9+, turn automatic app restore on if you want your apps to restore automatically or off if you're troubleshooting an app issue.

Before you begin

When attempting to determine whether a third-party app is the cause of an operating system / app issue, ensure 'Automatic restore' is turned off prior to performing a factory data reset.

Steps

  1. Open the
    Settings app
    .
  2. Navigate:
    Accounts and backup
    Backup and restore
    .
  3. From the Google account section, ensure
    Back up my data
    is on.
  4. Tap
    Automatic restore
     to turn on or off.
