Locate an iOS Device

Using Find My on iCloud lets you locate your phone from any browser, perfect for when you can't find your device and don't have another Apple device nearby.

Before you begin

Make sureFind My app is enabled on each device before use. To see all the devices when you sign in to Find My app, each device must be setup with the same iCloud® account. If you no longer have access to an iOS device, refer to Apple 's Find My Activation Lock for additional support.

Play Sound on Missing Device

  1. Navigate to the Find My iPhone section of icloud.com.
    URL: www.icloud.com/#find
  2. Enter the Apple ID and password then tap
    Sign In
    .
  3. Tap
    All Devices
    .
  4. Tap a device with an online status (blue/green dot indicator).
    The location of the device displays on the map.
  5. Tap
    Play Sound
    .

Lost Mode

  1. Navigate to the Find My iPhone section of icloud.com.
    URL: www.icloud.com/#find
  2. Enter the Apple ID and password then tap
    Sign In
    .
  3. Tap
    All Devices
    .
  4. Tap a device that with an online status (blue/green dot indicator).
  5. Tap
    Lost Mode
    .
  6. Enter a contact number then tap
    Next
    .
  7. Enter a message to be shown on the lost device's screen then tap
    Done
    .

Erase iPhone

  1. Navigate to the Find My iPhone section of icloud.com.

  2. Enter the Apple ID and password then tap
    Sign In
    .
  3. Tap
    All Devices
    .
  4. Tap a device that with an online status (blue/green dot indicator).
  5. Tap
    Erase iPhone
    .
  6. Review the warning then tap
    Erase iPhone
    .
  7. Enter the Apple ID password then tap
    Erase
    .

Remove iPhone

  1. Navigate to the Find My iPhone section of icloud.com.
    URL: www.icloud.com/#find
  2. Enter the Apple ID and password then tap
    Sign In
    .
  3. Tap
    All Devices
    .
  4. Tap one of the offline (gray dot) devices to select it.
  5. Tap
    All Devices
     again.
  6. Next to the selected device, tap
    Remove
    .
  7. Tap
    Remove
     to confirm.
