Personalizing the Home screen on your Galaxy J3 V / Galaxy J3 (3rd Gen.) makes daily tasks easier. Add, remove, or arrange apps, use widgets, or set a wallpaper that matches your style.
Add Apps
- Touch and hold an app.
- Drag the shortcut to the desired Home screen then release.For the app to be successfully added, there must be enough space within the selected Home screen. If needed, more Home screen panels may be added.
Add Widgets
- From a Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.
- TapWidgets.
- Touch and hold a widget.
- Drag the widget to the preferred home screen then release.For the widget to be successfully added, there must be enough space on the desired screen. If needed, more Home screen panels may be added.
- If applicable, tap additional options to activate widget.Options vary depending upon the type of widget.
Add / Remove Folders
- From a Home screen, touch and hold a shortcut (e.g., Email).
- Drag the shortcut on to another shortcut (e.g., Gmail) then release.
- Enter a name for the folder then tapDone.A folder containing the shortcuts is created. To rename the folder:
- Tap the folder.
- Tap the current folder name (top of open folder).
- Enter the new name then tapDone.
- To remove a folder, drag the app(s) out of an existing folder until the folder disappears.
Remove Apps / Widgets
- From a Home screen, touch and hold the item (e.g., widget, app, etc.).
- TapRemove from Home
.
Set Wallpaper
- From a Home screen, touch and hold a blank area.
- TapWallpapers.
- Select from any of the following:
- Gallery
- My wallpapers
- RecommendationsFollow the prompts to browse and purchase wallpaper.
- Select one of the following:
- Home screen
- Lock screen
- Home and lock screens
- TapSet as wallpaper.
